Ready for takeoff! Downtown Perrysburg Inc. is thrilled to once again host the Take Flight Kids Dash, a free Winterfest favorite for children ages 2–10.

Inspired by Perrysburg’s iconic airplane sculpture, this joyful dash is all about fun, imagination, and letting kids move—not about who finishes first. It’s also the perfect way for little ones to burn off some extra energy after enjoying hot cocoa and s’mores at Winterfest.

The race will take place on E. Second street between Louisiana and Elm (across the street from the tent). Thr road closure will begin at 1:30pm. Look for the Daves Running arch shortly after to start gathering and stretching. The race will lift off Saturday at 2:00 p.m., with children divided into age groups and our youngest flyers heading out first.

Every participant will receive an airplane kit to build, play, and Take Flight into the year ahead.

Pre-registration is required for all racers.

Run For PI and Four Furlong Kids Race

Come dressed for Pi, as Pi or pie! Recite Pi. The person who can recite the most digits of Pi wins a Pie. Did we mention Pi? Yes, there will be pie!

Packet Pick Up: We will offer advance packet pick up (bib and shirt if you ordered one) on 3/12 from 6-8pm at Second Sole. You can also starting at 7:30am on race day (3/14).

Kids Course is accurately measured at four furlongs

Awards: Overall Male & Overall Female.

Water and Pie will be provided at the finish.

The Hull Prairie Intermediate and Perrysburg Junior High Bands present our 13th annual "Band on the Run" 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run. This year will be a little different. We are going to be having a Glow Run! You do NOT want to miss this amazing event.

Band on the Run is a 5K Run/Walk. Even if you are not a runner, you are encouraged to come and help support the HPI and PJHS Bands. Usually over 50% of the participants are walkers. There will be pep bands that play along the route to keep you motivated.

Band on the Run is on Saturday, May 4th, 2024. Registration will begin at 8pm with the 5K Glow Run starting at 9pm.

Adopt America Network believes every child deserves to grow up in a family. We connect children who wait in foster care with permanent families, providing support before, during and after the family is united. Adopt America Network was founded in 1983 by Richard K. Ransom, who also founded Hickory Farms. Mr. Ransom dedicated his life to helping children and since he established AAN, nearly 5,000 children from foster care have found homes and families through the network. AAN provides services to over 300 children and 500 families annually.
