3 running, fun run, and walking events in New Philadelphia, Ohio

Thank you to all our faithful followers, sponsors and supporters. The Run for Bob 5k committee has made the tough decision to make 2026 our final event. We hope everyone can join us March 1st, 2026 for our last event.

We are a Non-Profit (c)(3) organization. All proceeds from the race go towards scholarships for Tuscarawas County High school seniors, and to the Alpha-1 foundation.

We run in Memory of Robert “Bob” Smith. He passed away from health issues on May 10th, 2019. Bob was a huge inspiration to everyone he met. He was very active in the local running community. At the age of 77, he participated in countless races. The man always had a smile on his face and words of encouragement to any and everyone. He never met a stranger. He simply made the world a better place. In loving memory of him, we hold this event the first Sunday in March each year.

The Cleveland Clinic Union Hospital Run for Home features something for everyone. Saturday, April 11 will feature family-friendly activities including a free kids' run, one-mile fun run/walk, 10K, and 5K. Discounts are available for groups and families who enter the one-mile fun run/walk making this a great option for families or company wellness groups. The half-marathon and team-relay will be held Sunday, April 12 followed by a post-race party at Hoodletown Brewing Co.

10K - Half Challenge: Register for both events in a single transaction for a discounted fee. You are automatically entered into the Challenge. Participants who complete both events earn a lightweight hoodie and compete for special awards. There is a $500 prize if you win both races!

All proceeds benefit Habitat for Humanity East Central Ohio. Events start and finish around Tuscora Park in New Philadelphia, Ohio.
