8th Annual Middletonian 5k

THIS YEAR WE RUN ON THE RUNWAY!

March 22nd Join Brunning Endurance for a 5k run and walk that celebrates Middletown Ohio’s rich history, supports the Middletown Regional Airport, and revitalization of the historic Downtown!

The race will begin and end at the Butler County Warbirds Military History Museum! Located at Middletown Regional Airport! The museum hangar will house our packet pickup and race day registration. It will also be open early for runners to view after the run. Anyone who donates to the museum through this race will be entered into a drawing for a free airplane ride!

Butler County Warbirds' mission is to educate and entertain individuals, of all ages, on the historical importance of aviation while America was at war. A percentage of your registration fee will go to Downtown Middletown, Inc. A non profit, community led organization that is dedicated to revitalizing Middletown’s beautiful downtown. Downtown Middletown Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that works to revitalize Historic Downtown Middletown and make it a beautiful, vibrant place for its citizens and visitors to socialize, exercise, enjoy the arts, shop, drink and dine. Every runner will receive a unique finisher award and enter into fun door prizes at the after party!

**Parking:

Due to construction inside the airport we will need participants to drive past the museum and down Wedekind Dr a little further to the second entrance gate. Once in the gate turn right and follow the access road to park in the grass by the first blue hangar. See map below. There will be volunteers to help if you get confused.

Handicap parking and volunteer parking only at the warbirds museum.

Kara's Mutt Strutt 5k Run/Walk

A race to honor Kara Goheen, A true champion of all four legged friends. Proceeds from this event will go to the Kara Goheen's Friends and Furballs Fund, that will be used to keep her Dog Days Downtown Festival going, along with other "pet" projects that benefit Middletown animals.

This race has gone to the dogs!

All awards will be reserved for our four legged friends. First through Third place winners in two weight divisions, under 50 lbs and over 50 lbs. All four legged participants will receive an official participation award!

We will be starting and ending at the Windamere event Center! Restrooms will be located inside the Windamere, where we will have the after party!

Official race shirts will be for the humans. $10.00 per shirt. Must sign up by April 3rd.

All dogs must be on a leash, must be friendly with other dogs, vaccinated, and not in heat. Leash must not exceed 6ft.

There will be an after paw-ty at the Windamere (2 S Main Street Middletown, Ohio)!

LOCATION: Woodside Cemetery and Arboretum, 1401 Woodside Blvd, Middletown. Participant parking across the street at Rosa Parks Elementary School and Barnitz Stadium.

EVENT DESCRIPTION: Flat course on paved trails through beautiful historic cemetery and arboretum. Chip timed 5K for runners and race walkers (Competitive walkers must walk ONLY). Shorter course loops available for recreational walkers (without chip timing).

Dogs are not permitted in the cemetery.

REGISTRATION: Pre-registration $15.00 (by April 19th for shirt) Race Day registration $20.00.

No registration fee for children 5 and under. Check-in and race day registration begins at 7:30 AM.

RUNNERS: Overall male/female and top 3 M/F in each age group; 12 and under, 13-19, then 5 yr. intervals through 75-79, then 80+

WALKERS: Top 3 male and female and top M/F in each age group; under 29, 30-49, 50-69, 70-79, 80+

Competitive Walkers must walk ONLY! If you are seen running at any point along the course you will be moved to the runner's competition.

POST-RACE: Snacks, drinks and lots of door prizes (must be pre-registered and present to win). Results will be posted here on the race website and brunningendurance.com
