Ready to take on a new running challenge in the heart of Ohio 🏃♂️? The Amish Country Half Marathon is the event for you.
Whispering Hills Jellystone Park, located in Ohio’s Amish Country, offers a beautiful and varied terrain including rolling hills with a mix of challenging inclines and relaxing downhill stretches. Wind through the 220 acres, taking in the picturesque fall foliage and views of the countryside.
Proceeds from this event will benefit the American Heritage Girls Troop OH-3125 chartered by Ripley Church of Christ in Big Prairie, Ohio. Our mission is to build women of integrity through service to God, family, community and country. Funds will be used for supplies, uniforms, activities, and trips. We are a faith-based character-building program for girls in the Shreve and western Holmes County area.
At the Mo Fall Marathon, Half Marathon, and 15k, the vibrant hues of fall foliage merge with the challenge of rugged trails, making it a must-do for runners, hikers, and even four-legged friends! Mohican State Park's varied landscape promises an unforgettable experience for both new and experienced participants. The harmonious blend of rugged trails, gentle slopes, and occasionally demanding ascents offers a dynamic and diverse course. Whether you're a newcomer looking to build endurance or a seasoned adventurer in search of a new challenge, Mo will deliver!
A lush forest of deciduous and evergreen trees forms a canopy overhead. Ferns, mosses, and woodland plants are woven into a thick carpet below. Numerous streams add to the ecological richness and provide habitats for a variety of wildlife. This maze of natural wonders surrounds you with a sense of seclusion, creating the perfect environment for you to experience Mohican's trails. Lace up your shoes, leash your pup, and get ready to embrace the colors and challenges that define the Mo Fall Marathon, Half Marathon, and 15k!
This is not your average road race but a race thru pasture fields, wooded area, crop field and roads.
This is the same day as Charm Days is happening so there will be plenty of food, pony parade, auctions and plenty of sales going on.
Bring the family out and enjoy this great event and Charm Days!

Description:
Just over 130 years ago at a farm house situated on the current property of Malabar Farm State Park, 24-year-old Ceely Rose poisoned her mother, father, and brother with arsenic. All three perished. After she confessed to the murders, she was sent away to the Toledo Asylum and then later moved to the Lima State Hospital for the Criminally Insane. There she lived her final days until age 61. Ceely was buried on the hospital grounds, but many say her ghost remains at Malabar Farm.
Are you brave enough to run 12 hours past Ceely’s home and through portions of Malabar Farm? Don’t let the peacefulness of the setting distract you…..Ceely could be right around the corner!
The course is approximately 2.25 miles of pavement, gravel, and grass. You will have 12 hours to complete as many laps as you can. It is a beautiful place to run, but you won’t be able to see the beauty in the dark so bring headlamps. As portions of the race are on the road, you will also need reflective/fiber gear.
A Team Relay option is also available, so bring up to 3 of your friends (or enemies) and share in the fun/pain!
We will provide an aid station along with porta pots at the start/finish line! You are encouraged also to bring gear to support your race (12 hours is a long time).
Awards to the top 3 finishers and a long-sleeved T to those who register by 10/07/2026. Some may even leave with a ghost story to commemorate this event!
Funds will be donated to the Malabar Farm Foundation to assist in preserving this historical landmark. We hope to see you there. After all, you don’t want to disappoint Ceely!
Space is limited, so register today!
