Are you training for a Spring event? Join SRC for a supported long run from Veterans Memorial Park in Wading River.

We want to help you achieve your goals this Spring. Join us for a long run and enjoy the benefits of running with others. This run is open to all runners looking to get in some miles. The loop is 9.3 miles and we will be setting up a water stop at the start/finish area and at 5 miles.

Park at Veterans Memorial Park in Wading River and run on the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Recreational Trail, a dedicated path for walking, running, and cycling. With minimal road crossings, vehicles are no worry. The path is open for public use so remember to stay to your right and no more than 2 runners side by side.

This is meant to be a training run, whether you are looking to get in a hard effort or just some casual miles with friends. We want you to join us.

Please RSVP by registering for the event. We will be using this headcount to make sure we have enough water, nutrition, and hydration.

The 4th annual student led "Using Our Voices" Mental Health Run Series is an event grounded in the belief that students should be part of the change process, with genuine inclusivity achieved through active student engagement. It has now grown to include four districts: Patchogue-Medford, North Babylon, Connetquot, and New Hyde Park.

The funds support students across Long Island by providing counseling opportunities and giving them the platform to display leadership, collaborate with peers from other districts, and contribute to an important cause.

The event is designed and executed entirely by students, who are involved in every aspect, from planning to race day. The goal is to share crucial messages about reducing stress and anxiety, building relationships, and supporting mental and physical health through movement. This initiative also empowers students to work toward the NYS Seal of Civic Readiness by fostering civic engagement and community-mindedness.

By supporting this series, you help students across the island unite for a cause that matters—promoting mental health and wellness. All proceeds benefit mental health organizations that work directly with our youth, amplifying the positive impact of this event.

When kids are empowered, magical things happen!
