Come out to a day of learning cyclocross skills with the women of KruisCX, ToBeDetermined, and King Kog!
The clinic will run from 9am to about 12pm. In the morning we will go over the basics of cyclocross racing, getting on and off the bike, how to corner and ride off-camber. Then we'll break for a snack and a chat with the leaders, who will answer any and all questions about cyclocross, bikes, cycling in New York, riding on trails, or getting into racing generally.
This is an event for people who identify as femme/trans/women/nonbinary, both adults and juniors. The aim is to grow and promote an inclusive women's cyclocross community in New York. This event is pre-reg ONLY as we cannot accept money on the day of the event.
If registration is a financial hardship please contact the promoter at [email protected] to ask for a reg code. There are plenty of donated registrations to give out, no questions asked!
A cyclocross or gravel bike will be your best equipment option for the clinic, but a road or mountain bike will work in a pinch. If you don't have a bike but are still interested, send us and email and we'll see if we can set you up with a loaner.
Bringing your own snacks and/or lunch is encouraged, but we will have snacks and water on hand.
This event is light rain or shine.

Unite to Fight!
Childhood Hunger 5K Run/Walk
Join Filling in the Blanks on August 23, 2026, at the Eighth Annual Unite to Fight 5K. The race will take place at Mill River Park located in Stamford, CT.
In Fairfield County, more than 33,000 children are not sure where their next meal will come from. Most will get breakfast and lunch from school every weekday, but many will go from Friday lunch until Monday at breakfast without a decent meal. Founded in 2013, Filling in the Blanks is an organization that fills in those weekend gaps by providing each child in its program with a bag filled with healthy, easy-to-prepare food for the weekend. When the obstacle of food insecurity is removed, children experience increased academic achievement in school and greater opportunities for success in their lives. FITB continuously serves 10,000+ kids at over 200 sites throughout Fairfield, Westchester, and Putnam counties. FITB has also established four in-school pantries and in 2023 launched the Fresh Food On The Move mobile pantry that provides families with fresh produce, veggies, proteins and other staples, as well as health and wellness services.
With your race registration, you will receive a Unite to Fight T-shirt.
*T-shirts are based on availability if registering after July 17, 2026.
Race is Rain or Shine
Gabby Petito Foundation Second Annual 5K Run & Walk
📍 Blue Point, NY | 📅 September 19, 2026
Join us for the Second Annual Angel Run 5K, hosted by the Gabby Petito Foundation, as we come together on the fifth anniversary of Gabby’s homecoming to honor her life, her light, and her legacy. This powerful event serves as both a remembrance of Gabby’s spirit and a call to action — uniting communities to raise awareness, offer hope, and drive change.
The Angel Run 5K is more than just a race — it’s a movement. A celebration of bravery, strength, and resilience, the event supports the Gabby Petito Foundation’s mission to help victims of domestic violence and to provide critical resources for locating missing persons. Whether you run, walk, or cheer from the sidelines, your participation makes a difference.
All proceeds will go directly toward the foundation’s work in prevention, education, and support for families and individuals in need.
Let’s run for Gabby. Let’s run for those still searching for safety and home. Let’s run with purpose — and never stop raising our voices.
Together, we can bring them home.
Every step we take is a step toward education, prevention, and support for those affected by domestic violence. Proceeds from the event will directly fund the Gabby Petito Foundation’s mission to provide resources, education, and advocacy to keep others safe.
Following the race, join us for a celebration at Bodhi's, where we’ll gather as a community to honor Gabby’s memory, support survivors, and spread a message of hope and resilience.
Let’s run, walk, and stand together to make a difference.
The Dirty Dozen
Are you ready to join the ranks of the Dirty Dozen? In the heart of New York City’s Forest Park, an ultra challenge awaits that tests not only your endurance but your grit. The Dirty Dozen 50K isn’t just another looped race—it’s a battle of mind and body, packed into one of NYC’s most deceptively hilly green spaces. Whether you're an ultra veteran or a brave newcomer, this is your mission if you choose to accept it.
Course
The course consists of a 2.5-mile loop along the scenic Orange Trail, completed counterclockwise for a total of 12 laps. While it may seem tame on paper, don’t be fooled—each loop packs in 300 feet of elevation, amounting to a cumulative climb that’s no joke. You'll weave through shaded woods, rolling terrain, and the quiet pockets of Forest Park that make you forget you're still within city limits. The familiar rhythm of the loop becomes both your comfort and your challenge as the miles add up.
Aid Stations
After every loop, you’ll pass a fully stocked aid station offering hydration, nutrition, and encouragement to keep your engine running. Volunteers will be there with smiles, supplies, and support—ready to help you push through to the next lap.
Runner Experience
Expect a grassroots, no-frills atmosphere filled with tough, gritty runners who thrive on challenge and camaraderie. This race is part competition, part community—and 100% fun. Whether you're chasing a PR or just trying to finish all 12 loops within the 8-hour cutoff, you’ll be cheered on every step of the way. The repetitive nature of the course creates a unique bond between runners, volunteers, and spectators alike. And at the end, you'll have more than just tired legs—you’ll have earned your place in the Dirty Dozen.
Practical Details
Registration is open now, and space is limited. The race takes place on August 29 in Forest Park, Queens—easy to reach by public transportation or car. Be sure to arrive early for bib pickup and race briefing. Weather in late August can be unpredictable, so come prepared for heat, humidity, or sudden rain. And yes, you'll want trail shoes—those hills are real.
About the Organizers
The Dirty Dozen 50K is organized by a passionate team of New York-based ultrarunners who believe in creating grassroots, accessible, and tough-as-nails races within the five boroughs. Their mission is to challenge runners while building community—and Forest Park is their proving ground.
Event's current local time: 4:20 AM ET

The Lighthouse Swim is a charity event, and we carefully plan and budget based on participant registrations and commitments made in advance. For this reason, all registration fees and donations are non-refundable. We highly recommend signing up for race insurance.
