About the Grand Fundo
In the cycling world, a gran fondo is a massive group ride/race, that can attract riders numbering in the thousands, encompassing all ages and ability levels. The Grand Fundo removes all the racing aspects from the ride but keeps all the all the fun. The route will take about four hours for most riders. The route is mostly dirt roads. We will have fully stocked rest stops where you can refuel and hydrate. There will be support riders and follow cars but they cannot access the trails and so please bring proper tools to fix a flat. Immediately after the ride, we hope you’ll stay and hang out with us for music and a delicious post-ride cookout, our prize drawing and more!
About the Mini Fundo
The Mini Fundo features the same challenging beginnings of the Grand Fundo but will get you back home more quickly. If you are looking for 2.5 to 3.5 hours of riding but aren’t sure you can survive the full Fundo, then the 29-mile Mini Fundo is for you. Once you return, snacks will be available until our barbecue. The Mini Fundo is by no means a walk in the park. Over the course of 29 miles, the Mini Fundo will climb over 2400 feet and ride through technical sectors of double track.
About the Adventure Route
This route is 75-80 miles, which means about five or six hours and includes more remote technical roads. 40+c tires are a must, and a 1:1 gear ratio will make the climbs much more enjoyable. This is a challenging route, but is well worth the effort.
About the youth ride
10 miles out and back, leaving at 9 as well. We provide two ride chaperones.
About the JAM Fund
JAM is a registered 501c-3 organization founded by Jeremy Powers, Alec Donahue and Mukunda Feldman, good friends brought together through their passion for cycling. JAM's mission is to help motivated young cyclists reach their potential both on and off the bike, while not being limited by finances. This is reached through close mentoring and involvement in the cycling community. The JAM Fund is proud to award grants to young cyclists in and around Massachusetts who show enthusiasm, determination and desire to be their best. It's also our goal to showcase some of the amazing cycling that the Pioneer Valley offers! Every dollar raised through the Fundo goes directly to the JAM fund. We look forward to seeing everyone there!
Helmets are mandatory!

JACK'S STORY
The Smile Like Jack Memorial Fund was established in memory of Jack William O’Brien, a loving son and brother, caring friend, and hard working young man that touched the lives of many with his contagious smile. Jack tragically passed away in a snowmobile accident on March 3rd, 2022. In his 20 short years, he had accomplished many things and leaves behind a legacy that is in a caliber of its own. Jack lived life to the fullest. He was always working exceptionally hard to accomplish his set of goals while also living the outdoorsman lifestyle: fishing, hunting, and riding. Our goal is that the Smile Like Jack Memorial Fund will bring other individuals (with similar passions) the opportunity to live their legacy just as Jack would - working immensely hard in the trades and living life to the fullest in the great outdoors.

START / FINISH LOCATION:
Shire Breu-Hous

The Mount Greylock Century presented by Berkshire Velo 413 features some of the most challenging climbs in western Massachusetts. Riders will be treated to quiet backcountry roads and some of the nicest views in the county. While the north side of Greylock and Kingsley Hill Rd have gained some notoriety, don't discount some of the lesser known climbs such as Monroe Hill, Windsor and East Hoosac. We recommend compact gearing as riders will encounter mid-teens and higher percent grades several times over the course of 12,000 feet of climbing. We believe the route ranks right up there amongst the most challenging centuries in the Northeast.
Event details: Parking and registration are located at the Stationery Factory in Dalton Massachusetts. The Century riders will have a group start at 7:30 AM and Metric Century will start at their own-will at 9:30 AM. We recommend riders budget an additional two hours over their normal century pace. There will be five aid stations located along the route. The ride will be supported until ~4:30 PM.
Post ride: The Shire Tavern will be opening the kitchen for us at 3:30 offering a full menu. Beers will be complimentary using fare tickets. A nice way to recover a bit before that drive home!
Last minute updates will be posted on our Facebook Page http://www.facebook.com/BerkshireVelo/
The will be held, rain or shine!
Warning: This is a difficult ride. Slower riders should opt for the Metric Century. You will be abandoned if you are out on the road past 5pm. Its not fair to volunteers who will be committing 12 hours of their time to support the ride only to have super slow riders still out on the road until dark.

Thank you for your interest in the Saratoga 600 KM Brevet. This ride is part of the SARATOGA BREVET SERIES and is sanctioned by AUDAX CLUB PARISIEN and RANDONNEURS USA, whose RULES & REGULATIONS we'll follow, as well as OUR OWN RULES. Please read these notes carefully and if you have any questions, feel free to CONTACT US.
We will be using an out and back to the Plattsburg/Lake Champlain/North Country area. Please note that overnight accommodations are not included in the entry fee nor offered in any capacity. Riders must make their own arraignments and are free to stay anywhere on the route, but the Super 8 in Plattsburg at miles 131/246 is the recommend location.
This route is typical Adirondack goodness, with rolling hills, a couple of long climbs and unmatched scenery. The west bound section from Rouses Point is probably the toughest, where riders will gain about 1,200 feet over 25 miles in what will feel like a very long slog. However, you will be rewarded on the way back with the east bound ride mostly down hill.
Please note there will be about 6-8 miles of unpaved surfaces on the way back on the Feeder Canal Trail and the Champlain Canal Trail just before the finish. These sections are rideable with most bikes and tire size, but there may be a few ruts and pot holes here and there, so please use caution.
SPECIAL RUSA NOTE: Due to insurance regulations, only current members of RUSA, as of the start of this brevet, are permitted to ride a RUSA/ACP sanctioned brevet. Please make sure your membership is up to date before registering for this brevet, as there will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule for any reason.
SPECIAL E-BIKE AND PET NOTE: Due to insurance regulations, please note that motorized bicycles of any kind, including, but not limited to: e-bikes and pedal assist bicycles, and pets, are prohibited from our events. Riders arriving with a motorized bicycle or pet will not be permitted to participate in this event and no refund will be issued and there will be NO EXCEPTIONS to this rule for any reason.
Please note that same day on-site registration will not be available.
