JACK'S STORY

The Smile Like Jack Memorial Fund was established in memory of Jack William O’Brien, a loving son and brother, caring friend, and hard working young man that touched the lives of many with his contagious smile. Jack tragically passed away in a snowmobile accident on March 3rd, 2022. In his 20 short years, he had accomplished many things and leaves behind a legacy that is in a caliber of its own. Jack lived life to the fullest. He was always working exceptionally hard to accomplish his set of goals while also living the outdoorsman lifestyle: fishing, hunting, and riding. Our goal is that the Smile Like Jack Memorial Fund will bring other individuals (with similar passions) the opportunity to live their legacy just as Jack would - working immensely hard in the trades and living life to the fullest in the great outdoors.

Get Off the Couch Adventure Day

June 7, 2026 | Norbrook Farm Brewery | Colebrook, CT

Join us for the Get Off the Couch Foundation’s Annual Adventure Day at Norbrook Farm Brewery — a day of outdoor activity, community, and impact.

Inspired by the adventurous spirit of Chris Del Sole, the Get Off the Couch Foundation helps children experience the confidence, joy, and lifelong benefits that come from getting outside and getting active.

Participants can choose their own adventure before gathering for a relaxed afternoon celebration at the brewery.

    Activities may include*:

    • Mountain biking

    • Trail running

    • Hiking or walking

    • Kids outdoor activities

Afterward, everyone comes together for great food, drinks, music, and community while celebrating the difference we’re making together.

Funds raised support programs that help children access outdoor opportunities such as mountain bike camps, learn-to-ride programs, learn-to-ski and snowboard packages, and adaptive outdoor experiences.

Come ride, hike, run, walk — or simply join us to support the mission.

Let’s get off the couch and make a difference.
