    The Dirt Disco Collective

What: A small group of riders who are stoked on bikes and want to develop their skills in a collaborative, supportive, and fun atmosphere.

When: Wednesday evenings in June ( 5:30--7:30 ish-- can roll a bit longer if the vibe is there)

Where: The Dirt Disco (with the possibility of a field trip, TBD)

Who: This is intended for intermediate riders. If you are still working on gaining confidence riding bikes off-road, consider signing up for a private session—we can have you climbing the MTB skills ladder lickety-split!

How it plays out: Each week we will pick a topic, break it down, hit some drills, and get in laps! There will be some talking, but this is more of a ride session than a standard clinic.

The Syllabus ( this could change a bit based on rider input):

    • Week 1: Flow & Play – Dialing in your attack position and bike-body separation, then learning to pump the trail for speed and "pop" over obstacles.

    • Week 2: Cornering Confidence – Mastering lean angles, looking through the exit, and finding grip in flat or off-camber turns.

    • Week 3: Technical Moves – Front and rear wheel lifts, plus the timing needed to clear roots and rocks without losing your momentum.

    • Week 4: Air Time – Introduction to drops and jumping. Learning the proper technique to get wheels off the ground safely and land with control.

    What to Bring:

    • Helmets are a must.

    • Knee pads are highly recommended.

    • Ensure your bike is in good working order and you have water/snacks.

    The Fine Print:

We ride rain or shine! However, in the event of extreme weather, we will push the session back one week to ensure everyone stays safe.

    "DROPPIN"

    Overview

Drops are becoming a staple of modern trail systems because they are incredibly fun. However, they must be ridden with proper technique and discretion. The worst advice you can get is to "just get back and send it."

Mountain biking risks can be greatly mitigated with good technique and a realistic perception of your ability. Our goal is to help you start small, build deep confidence, and eventually master the "A" lines with serious flow.
