High desert ultra marathon festival offering 50K, marathon, half marathon, 10K, and 5K on paved Lovell Canyon Road in the Spring Mountains, with multiple start times.
Back by popular demand, and reincarnated in 2016 at a new venue to bring you a new challenge! Pure Mojave Desert running at its finest! Come join us on this PAVED and scenic course which covers rolling terrain.
Commencing at an elevation of roughly 4500 feet, runners will experience high desert vegetation to include Joshua Trees, Pinion-Juniper, Mountain Rose, Sagebrush, and a relatively lush Toiyabe National Forest not commonly associated with Las Vegas. The road twists and turns thru the canyon; a true treasure of the Spring Mountains N.R.A. enjoying temperatures ~10 degrees cooler than the Las Vegas Valley.
Still an extreme heat race, expect daytime highs ~95- 100 degrees and overnight lows ~75. On course provisions will help keep you cool!
This running festival offers something for everyone! We offer the chance to run two events without the headache of travel in between! There are many options: Half Marathon in the morning + 10K at NOON; 5K BOTH morning and Noon; 10K in the morning + 5K at Noon... you get the idea! OR of course you can just come and run one event. But if you have ever been "ultra curious" this is a great way to expand your boundaries!
**NOTE: There are two 10Ks and two 5Ks at this race! One on Saturday morning at 8am and one on Saturday at 12pm NOON. Both are exactly the same course. This is to provide runners the opportunity to run back to back events. If you are running one only, it is preferred that you run on SATURDAY MORNING to keep the field most competitive. Or run both! Saturday NOON awards for 10K and 5K will go to the top 3 overall male and female finishers + 1 deep male and female overall grand masters (50+) per distance only. Age group awards will only be included on Saturday morning for these distances. Please pay attention to the different start times when you register!

Ready for an unforgettable experience in the heart of Nevada? 🏜️ The Sandy Valley Invitational awaits you! Join us for a road race of 5 km through breathtaking desert landscapes. Whether you're an experienced runner or simply love to stride through beautiful settings, this challenge offers a golden opportunity to push your limits.
Over the years, one of my favorite times at our Running with the Devil extreme heat race in late June is when the sun sets, and the night air just beckons you to be outside and run! Devil After Dark brings you that magic with a late summer evening run.
Commencing just before sunset, run through Lovell Canyon while enjoying the stunning sunset as day falls into night. Sun is replaced by stars and moonlight lights the way. The omnipresence of the surrounding canyon under the moonlit starry night is magical! Pinion Juniper trees dance in the shadows and the neon lights of Las Vegas are just minutes away. An enchanted late summer evening run.
*This event is held on the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area, Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest, under a special use permit.
Run wild with a sprinkle of color at the Sprinkle Dash Kids Color Run at O'Callaghan Park on Saturday, September 26!
Prepare to race through four different color stations and get doused from head to toe in a variety of colors! After the run, put on some dancing shoes for a lively dance party to celebrate. There will be bounce houses and victory cupcakes waiting for the runners at the finish line!

WHAT TO WEAR
To make those vibrant colors really pop, we recommend wearing your brightest white shirt and shorts. The more white you wear, the more colorful you’ll look as you dash through the rainbow of color stations!
Rock Your Tennis Shoes. Put on your most comfortable tennis shoes, because you’ll be running, jumping, and having a blast. Make sure they’re old or ones you don’t mind getting colorful!
Stay Hydrated. Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated throughout the event.
Sunscreen is a Must. Don't forget to slather on some sunscreen before you head out to protect your skin from the sun's rays. It's all about fun in the sun, safely!

You will get your shirt at your mailing address the week of your race.

Yes, but please note that it takes time for us to ship your shirt. Your shirt will likely arrive after the run. You can wear any shirt you find appropriate to run the race!

All ghouls and ghosts are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween clothing or as a member of the undead. Souvenir medals and dry fit t-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 participants. This is a chip timed event. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!

Participants are strongly encouraged to pick up packets on Thursday or Friday to avoid delays on race day.
WHAT TO WEAR
To make Dress for the Undead Adventure. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween clothing or as a member of the undead. Whether you’re a spooky ghost, a classic witch, or a full-on zombie, costumes make the run even more fun!
Step Into Your Survival Sneakers. Wear your most comfortable running shoes—ones you can move (or shuffle!) in with ease. The course may be filled with surprises, so supportive footwear is a must for both the living and the undead.
Stay Hydrated. Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated throughout the event.
We can’t wait to see you lurking in your spookiest, undead-inspired outfit!

Tortoise Trot 5K Walk/Run
A 5k-ish trail run/walk starting and finishing at the Visitor Center, the scenic Tortoise Trot course gives you a 360 degree view of one of Southern Nevada’s most spectacular vistas. Part road, part trail, this event encompasses the Moenkopi loop and will be scenic and fun for the whole family. Participants 5 to11 years old must be accompanied by an adult for safety. No on-course jogging strollers or dogs are permitted. The run is not timed and is limited to 300 runners or walkers, so register early and save your spot for a memorable morning in the canyon!
Tortoise Trail Run (17K)
New this year, the Tortoise Trail Run is a 17K trail run starting and finishing at the Visitor Center. Designed for runners looking for a longer challenge, the scenic course features rugged desert trails, portions of the scenic drive, and expansive views of Red Rock Canyon.
This event is run only (no walking) and is not timed, but participants should plan to finish within the 3-hour time limit. For safety, no jogging strollers or dogs are permitted. Participation is limited to 50 runners, so register early to secure your spot for this exciting inaugural run in the canyon!
The Endurance race starts at 8:00 am.
The conventional mountain bike race starts at 10:00 am.
If we have a large field, we will start pros at 10:00 am, Category 1 a few minutes later, Category 2 a few minutes later, etc. This will be determined at the rider meeting just before the start.
The E-Bike race will start at 1:00 pm.
If there are fewer than 3 racers in an age bracket, the racer will be moved into the closest age bracket within the category for competition.
To determine the series winners at the finals on 11-14, 2026, the most points wins, must compete in at least 2 races and must be present at the finals to qualify.

Majestically framing the west side of the valley, Red Rock Canyon is the most notable natural treasure in the Las Vegas area.
Commencing just before sunset, run through Red Rock Canyon while enjoying the stunning sunset as day falls into night. Sun is replaced by stars and moonlight guides the way. The omnipresence of the surrounding canyon under the moonlit starry night is magical! Joshua trees dance in the shadows and the neon lights of Las Vegas can be seen in the distance. An enchanted late summer evening run.
