About this event

Get ready to run for your life because the walking dead returns to Henderson for their second feeding!

All ghouls and ghosts are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween clothing or as a member of the undead. Souvenir medals and dry fit t-shirts are guaranteed for the first 300 participants. This is a chip timed event. All ages and fitness levels are welcome!

Participants are strongly encouraged to pick up packets on Thursday or Friday to avoid delays on race day.

WHAT TO WEAR

  • To make Dress for the Undead Adventure. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Halloween clothing or as a member of the undead. Whether you’re a spooky ghost, a classic witch, or a full-on zombie, costumes make the run even more fun!

  • Step Into Your Survival Sneakers. Wear your most comfortable running shoes—ones you can move (or shuffle!) in with ease. The course may be filled with surprises, so supportive footwear is a must for both the living and the undead.

  • Stay Hydrated. Bring a water bottle to keep hydrated throughout the event.

We can’t wait to see you lurking in your spookiest, undead-inspired outfit!

Grab your “Raspberry Beret” or at least your favorite purple running gear- “Hot thing“, you know “U Got the Look“NOTE: The color Purple is also associated with several different causes. Unlike the color pink, which is almost exclusively linked to Breast Cancer Awareness, the color Purple is associated with a variety of causes. Among them include Alzheimer’s Disease, Animal Abuse, Eating Disorders, and Victims of 9/11 to name a few. You can read more here. Whether you're a serious runner, a casual walker, or here to support survivors of domestic and sexual violence, this is your chance to move for a mission and have fun doing it.

    Grab your sneakers, rally your coworkers, and let’s run (or walk) toward empowerment, hope, and healing — one step at a time. Pets are welcome to participate! Ready, Set, Run for Hope! 💜

    7:00 AM – Runner/Walker Check-in and Day-of Registrations (Day-of registrations welcome! Credit cards only, please. We will not accept cash.)

    8:00 AM – Event Kickoff and assembly of participants

    8:15 AM - 5K Run (timed bib chip)

    8:20 AM - 1 Mile Fun Run and Walk

    8:25 AM - 1 Mile Pet Walk

    9:15 AM - Medal Ceremony

    7:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Health + Wellness Fair: We're holding our Health + Wellness Fair again this year with local vendors and feel-good giveaways! The Fair is open to the community; you do not need to participate in the 5K or 1 Mile Fun Run to attend.

    Funds raised at the 2026 Run for Hope 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run will support SafeNest services including but not limited to: emergency shelter, counseling, and pet services including onsite pet housing, supplies, and health/wellness exams.

    Registration fees are non-refundable and directly support SafeNest’s mission.
