Proceeds and donations from this race benefit the Vineland Police Athletic League (PAL). With the mission of fostering good relations between the city's youth and police force, the PAL offers various recreation programs including basketball, karate, and more. In 2026, the PAL partnered with the Vineland Youth Running Club to add a winter strength and conditioning program, and a number of PAL and VYRC members will be running in their first race at this years Breakfast Chase.

Come join us for a fun and relaxed 5k run and 1Mile walk in the heart of South Jersey's farmland. Our course winds through a rural landscape and is USATF certified (NJ0700WB). All proceeds benefit Aaron's Fund, Inc, which supports local scholarships and charities in the Vineland area in honor of Aaron Ploch.

• Walkers welcome, must be registered and stand behind 5K runners. Dogs welcome to walk their owners in the 1 Mile Event

5K Team Pricing

Open to corporate and school groups, clubs, and families. Once your team reaches 3 members, the price per member is only $15 (members 1-3 will receive $5 back after member #4 registers). The largest team(s) will be recognized at the awards ceremony.

This is our second Running on Kindness 5K for Autism Awareness.

Although the event is hosted at Pilla Middle School, all district schools and our community have come together to create this special event to spread awareness and promote acceptance.

All proceeds will be returned to our community and benefit Pilla Project Unity (a club dedicated to creating social interactions among students of all abilities while giving back to the community), Educators 4 Autism (a local nonprofit organization), and Project Lifesaver (providing local children with GPS tracking devices).

The entire race take place on the grounds of Pilla Middle School. The terrain is mostly paved surfaces but also includes grassy and dirt areas in the field behind the school. The course is jogging stroller friendly as long as it can handle the terrain mentioned above.

Register for the 5K by 3/29 and run away with a race tee and finisher medal!

Register for the 1-mile by 3/29 and receive a race tee!

Awards will be given for the 5K to the top 3 Overall Male and Female Finishers as well as the top 3 Students (under 18 years old).

Packet pick-up will take place on race morning starting at 8am.

The race will be held rain or shine.
