Get ready for an exciting day of fun, fitness, and community spirit at the 7th Annual True Colors Run, hosted by the Lindenhurst Community Cares Coalition!
Join us on Saturday, June 27, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Lindenhurst Fireman’s Park, and help us continue building the safest, strongest, and most vibrant community possible.
This event is all about coming together, having fun, and standing united for a powerful cause. By participating in the True Colors Run, you are helping us educate youth about the risks of underage drinking and substance misuse while promoting prevention, health, and fitness as the foundation for a brighter future.
Bring your friends, bring your family, and lace up your sneakers — whether you run, jog, or walk, every step makes a difference!
👕 Important Reminder: T-shirt sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after June 1, 2026, but we will do our very best to accommodate your requested size.
The True Colors Run is more than just a race — it’s a celebration of community, connection, and commitment to our youth.
We can’t wait to see you at the starting line! 🌈🏃♀️🏃♂️
A series of ten progressively longer races, held at various locations throughout the Town of Westport.
We're happy to announce the 64th annual Roadrunners Summer Series! Once again, we will be using the follow protocols:
There will be no in-person race day registration on paper forms. Online registration will remain open until the start time. Runners should register before arriving at the race site, or on their phones when they get there (scan the QR code on the sandwich board sign), then check in with other pre-registered runners.
Once again, we will utilize ChronoTrack chip timing technology for all races. This will give all runners a net or "chip" time based on when they cross the start, and will have the added benefit of almost instant results. If you sign up for text alerts, your finish time and place will be waiting for you on your phone when you get back to your car. You will also receive an email later on race morning with your individual result, often with a video clip of your finish. Thanks to Pequot Runners and Fleet Feet for providing timing bibs and chips!
To facilitate this, all runners must check in before the race and be assigned a race bib, which must be worn on the front of your shirt or shorts during the race. If you have a bib from a previous Series race you should re-use that, but you still need to check in and tell the volunteer your number.
ONCE AGAIN - PHOTOS! RunSignUp has added the ability for runners to upload photos to this site. So, after you complete your race, post a photo or two of your run - at the start, finish or in between. The more we get, the better! Just click on the Photo tab on the left side of the screen and post away!
Due to the pricing structure for online registration, which includes a $2.61 processing fee for each transaction, it will be MUCH cheaper to register for the full 10-race Series if you are doing more than six races. We strongly recommend you take advantage of the Series discount. It will also eliminate the need to register for each race separately online. AND IF YOU REGISTER BY JULY 2, YOU'LL GET A SHORT SLEEVE TECH SHIRT!

🐶IMPORTANT DOG NOTE🐶
THIS IS A VERY, VERY, VERY IMPORTANT NOTE FOR ANYONE THAT IS
CONSIDERING BRINGING THEIR DOG TO THIS SPECIAL EVENT:
🔥🐶🔥
Due to the fact that we are running within feet of farm animals
ALL OWNERS AND THEIR DOGS WILL NEED TO TURN AROUND BEFORE YOU GET TO THE FARM ANIMALS!
This means that while you CAN RUN or WALK the event, you will not be timed due to the fact that you will turn around before the timing mats.
So when you register for this event, please register for the 2 mile fun run/walk.
You can still run or walk longer than 2 miles, but you will not be timed and will not be allowed to run or walk by the farm animals.
WE LOVE DOGS, but we appreciate your consideration for other animals.
(hence our logo🐶)
(But, for this event we need to be cautious)

Race Start Time and Location:
We are extremely excited to host our one and only triathlon in the all beautiful Palisades Park in New Jersey! This is our second year running the race as well as our interest in expanding more races outside of NYC. With a gorgeous view of the Hudson River, also known as the River Road, and the undulating Henry Hudson Dr, it makes for a very challenging and rewarding course in swimming, running, and biking. As this is an open water event in the Hudson River, the swim can sometimes be challenging and the water temperature may not be as warm in June. Wet suits are allowed but not required. Volunteers from the Hudson Kayak Club will be on duty to ensure a safe and successful swim for all triathletes.
Here is what you can expect on race day: Race start is 8:00 AM sharp at the transition area by the Alpine Marina’s Pavilion comfort station, at the end of the boat dock. Duathletes will start near the parking lot not too far from the transition area and running up the first hill near the entrance.
At the end of the 400 meter swim, Triathletes will head back to the Transition coming off the beach run off. Duathletes will turn around at the .7 miles mark on the Henry Hudson Dr and make their way back to the Transition. Both Triathletes and Duathletes will begin the 10 mile bike portion of the race.
The bike segment is on the Henry Hudson Dr and with your first hill leaving the parking lot. 5 miles out and turning around by the Dyckman Hill Rd, and 5 miles back to the transition. The total elevation gain is over 300ft+. Although there are no long climbs but enough punchy and short hills to force you to pace yourself carefully.
The final segment of the race is a 3 mile run for both Triathletes and Duathletes. You will start from the Transition area and running on the Henry Hudson Dr. Turn around at the 1.5 miles mark and making your way back to the finish by the Transition area, running through the finish flags.
Registration spots are limited to 150 participants. We had over 120 participants last year. Please do register early in case we reach our registration cap much sooner! As of today, 6/10, the race is SOLD OUT.
Alpine Marina Triathlon distance:
Swim distance is 400 meters.
Bike distance is 10 miles.
Run distance is 3 miles.
Alpine Marina Duathlon distance:
Run distance is 1.5 miles.
Bike distance is 10 miles.
Run distance is 3 miles.
Volunteers:
You are needed from 6 am to 11 am. Our races start at 8:00 am unless stated the otherwise. Once you arrived, report to our Race Directors (George or Hunter). They will go over your race duty as well as where you need to be. Don’t leave until the race is finished. You have to sign out to earn your race credit for your next race.
