  The Gallop, which is now in its 47th year, is named in honor of David French who served as recreation director for 32 years before his retirement in 2010. It is a 5.2-mile race, with various inclines and obstacles that offers a great challenge. This long-standing event creates a vast sense of camaraderie between residents and non-resident of Goffstown.
