As a participant in this event, you will receive the official race t-shirt, a participation medal, Wurst Run Ever stein, a drink ticket to be used during the Oktoberfest celebration, and, of course, a complimentary bratwurst.
Registration:
Register by September 4th to receive the runner's swag, including a t-shirt, medal, and stein. Registration fee is $30.
You can still register after this date, all the way up to 7:00 am on the morning of the race. However, please note that you will not be guaranteed the swag, and the fee will be $35 starting September 4th and $55 starting September 16th - September 18th at 7:00 PM.
There are no race day registrations.

RACE DETAILS: The historic 5 Mile course is challenging but beautiful, running on the hilly roads of Pioneers Park. This is the 50th Annual race and we want it to be the biggest and best one yet! Think of it as throwing the greatest birthday bash for THE oldest and most iconic race in Lincoln.
PACKET PICKUP: Packet pickup will be at the Lincoln Running Co on Saturday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. There will be race day packet pickup at Pioneers Park, beginning at 7 a.m., but this is reserved for our out-of-town competitors.
The Buffalo Run is the oldest continuous race hosted in Lincoln, the Lincoln Track Club and Lincoln Running Co. are proud of this race and the 50 years of running it. We hope to see you all on Sept. 20 at Pioneers Park.

The Event: Mount Lucia Trail Race is a 5 Mile Trail Run, Hike, or Ruck in Sioux City, IA. There will also be a kids (12 and under) 1k run.The Time: The run will occur on October 3rd, 2026. There is a race day schedule below.Registration: Registration is available on Ultrasignup.com now. Registration will be $35 (Plus Ultrasignup fees) until August 31st. September 1-30th the cost will be $40 plus fees. Race day registration may be available depending on registration numbers.The Place: Mount Lucia Trail Race starts and finishes at the Dorothy Pecaut Nature Center in Sioux City, Iowa. The Nature Center is situated above the Big Sioux River in the Loess Hills of Iowa. The Loess Hills are a beautiful geologic formation of blown sediment that settled in Western Iowa and created these hills.The Course: The course will start in the parking area of the Nature Center and will run briefly on the access road to the nature center before heading onto the trails. The trails are mostly double track and surfaces range from dirt to woodchip to gravel. The course passes through deciduous forests, remnant prairie ridge tops, steep valleys, and more. Both Nature Center trails and Stone State Park Trails are used for this route. The route is fairly hills with nearly 700’ of elevation gain over 5 miles. This is a trail race so there may be uneven footing, rocks, roots, acorns, sticks, and more. We will do our best to remove debris from the trail before the race. The course will be well marked with signs, flags, and ropes.The Swag: While supplies last, 5 mile participants will receive a custom race logo mug from local potter, Jake Van Wyk.Packet Pickup: Packets will be available at Peak Performance on Friday, October 2nd from 12-6.
