Lyons-Heart Gravel Classic — July 11, 2026 • Mandan, North Dakota
A premier gravel event carved along the Heart River: choose the 35-mile non-competitive ride, 65-mile race, or 100-mile test of endurance. Celebrate at the downtown Mandan finish line with live music, vendors, and community festivities.
We took a favorite local gravel route shaped by the Heart River and expanded it to give cyclists a fresh opportunity to explore North Dakota’s rolling landscape. Expect winding descents through the Lyon’s Den, punchy climbs that prove North Dakota isn’t flat, and long stretches of scenic gravel that reward pacing and line choice. The course was designed for fast riding, spectator opportunities, and an unforgettable finish in downtown Mandan — Where the West Begins.
The AlKemist Gravel Fest — October 4, 2025 | Mandan, North Dakota
Brewed for the Bold. Born on Gravel.
The AlKemist Gravel Fest was first brewed up in 2018 after exploring some of the most rugged and rewarding gravel roads in Morton County, North Dakota. Now it’s one of the region’s most anticipated fall gravel races — bringing together cyclists who crave challenge, community, and an unbeatable view.
Start your adventure at Graner Park / Sugarloaf Bottoms, just south of Mandan, ND, where you’ll climb out of the Missouri River Valley and onto the bluffs of Morton County. Every mile serves up fast descents, minimum-maintenance roads, and some of the longest climbs in the region — all balanced by wide-open prairie skies and unforgettable scenery.
When the dust settles, join us for post-race awards, hot food fresh off the grill, and a celebration worthy of the miles you’ve conquered.
