Miles for Hope 5k is a 5k race in Troutman, NC, raising money for Acres of Hope's university fund. Acres of Hope is a school in Nebbi, Uganda that educates, houses, and feeds children from surrounding areas for free. They educate kids from young ages, all the way through secondary school (high school equivalent). Many of the kids who graduate from Acres of Hope have ambitions of further education to pursue careers such as doctor or computer science engineer. However, without the funds to send these kids to university, they will not have the opportunity to go. All of the proceeds from this 5k will benefit the fund for sending kids to university from Acres of Hope. The race welcomes people of all ages and run-times.

The Hearts to A.C.E. 5K Run/Walk is designed to support both heart health and local students. All proceeds go toward the A.C.E. Scholarship, which helps Iredell-Statesville Schools (ISS) seniors who have overcome serious challenges, such as physical difficulties, language barriers, child abuse, delinquency, or substance abuse. These students are known as A.C.E.'s—Accepting the Challenge of Excellence.

By joining the run/walk, you help encourage these seniors as they graduate in 2026 and continue to strive for excellence in their lives because anything less may send them back into their serious challenges.

All participants who register by February 8, 2026, will receive a swag bag, T-shirt, and participation medal. Teams are welcome. Same-day registration will be available. Awards will be given for the overall top three male and female runners, as well as medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in each age category for both males and females.

Packet Pick-up: You can pick up your packet on race day or in advance on Saturday, February 21, from 1:00–3:00 PM at the Troutman ESC Park Pavilion, 338 North Avenue, Troutman, NC 28166.

14th Annual Sprint into Spring 5k/10k

In the spirit of celebrating America’s 250th birthday in 2026, you’ll see a patriotic theme woven throughout many of Troutman’s events this year. The Sprint into Spring 5K/10K will be the first event to proudly showcase this red, white, and blue celebration.

Join us on 3/7/2026 at 9am at Troutman ESC Park (338 North Ave.) for a 5K or 10K for the whole family. The registration fee includes a t-shirt and a finisher medal for all participants. Awards will be given to the top 3 in each age group. Walkers and/or runners alike are welcome! Must register by 2/20 to be guaranteed a shirt.

Optional packet pick up is Friday, 3/6/2026, from 12pm-6pm at Troutman Parks & Rec Office, 334 North Ave, Troutman.
