Join us for our 13th annual Run Ocean Isle Beach & Last Race of the 2026 BAM! Races.
Ocean Isle Beach is a beautiful coastal island in SE North Carolina. Our courses take you through some beautiful communities and the half marathon takes you around most of the island with unforgettable oceanfront views. We host a half marathon, 5K & 1 Mile in late October when the average temperatures are a High of 75 and a Low of 56.

This year we our finisher shirts will be going back to our extremely soft tri-blend T's with a beautiful unique design and an absolutely MASSIVE race medals. Over the years we’ve had surfboard, flip flop, glass, lockets, artistic connecting medals, a pirate theme, mosaic designs, and much more - we change it up each year to bring unique medals but this year might top them all. Select a ride that is family friendly or one that will challenge you; each promises to be memorable.
Proceeds from this event will be used to for local and international Rotary project with many projects providing experiences and learning opportunities that will enrich the lives of the children and youth in Brunswick County.

This is a 5K run/walk through the park on dirt and gravel, with food, a pool, and entertainment available to follow. For the price of the run, you can stay and enjoy the day. Any guests who may be accompanying you and don't sign up for the run will be asked to pay the day fee. No participant names are accessible to the public. Sign up before September 10th to ensure you receive your t-shirt! Clothing optional - Must be 18 to register.

FAQ:
This is not a closed course and race participants are asked to be aware of their surroundings and traffic at all times.
All runners must wear PRR race bib on the front and be visible at all times. No bandits or unregistered runners, pacers, bicycles or scooters please.
No dogs will be allowed on the course due to insurance regulations.
In the event of cancellation, no refunds/deferrals will be issued. Race expenses will be paid and all donations made to local breast cancer charities.

We actually host 2 half marathons (East & West) that allow you to tour each end of the island (the East is competitive and the West is walker friendly). We host a flat and fast 10K and of course the 5K which are completely on the island with no elevation gain and minimal turns. Highlights include: Lighthouse, 13+ miles of beach views along the ocean (running on the road), a bridge (on the West Half & Full Marathon) and much more! President’s Day weekend is a perfect long weekend to enjoy the beach. Average temperatures are 58 High /41 Low in February.

This amazing half marathon is a South Carolina Dream! It is truly a flat and fast course! We offer 2 race experiences along with a virtual option! Half marathon participants must adhere to a 3:20:00 time limit. Participants falling behind the time limit will be asked to move to the sidewalk and will not receive a finish time.
