Join the Davie Community Foundation SURF Board on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 21, 2026 as they raise money to fund youth led grants, that benefit youth and children in Davie County, NC. The 13th Annual Popsicle 5K welcomes all abilities of runners. Not a runner? No worries, walkers are welcome too! The race kicks off at 8:30am, with packet pick up and on site registration starting at 7:15 am.

SURF has some exciting additions planned for the race. We think you will like them!

The Popsicle 5K is a family event, with a variety of fun activities:

Each participant receives a Raffle Ticket at packet pick up for a chance to win one of many great prizes.

Come in your favorite wintry costume. The most creative chilly costume will take home a prize.

Brain Freeze Challenge - Each participant can choose to complete the Brain Freeze Challenge by eating a popsicle at the start, middle and end of the race.

Zero K - Do you want to support the Popsicle 5K or a friend who is a participant, but not interested in tackling the course yourself? No worries! Sign up at the door for the Zero K, and you don't have to run an inch.

Kids 8 and under who are not running will be entertained by SURF students while mom and dad run the race.

All proceeds from the Popsicle 5K will support youth led projects in Davie County. Organized under the Davie Community Foundation, the SURF (Students Understanding Real Futures) Board is a youth philanthropy board for high school students living in Davie County. Each year the Popsicle 5K serves to empower young people by supporting their projects through Grants from the SURF Board. Runner & Walker $15 Early Bird through 10/31; $20 11/1 through December 31st; $25 till 1/31; $30 till 2/19. Race Day Registration (2/21) $35.

5K Team Registrants (5 minimum) $10 Early Bird through 10/31; $15 through December 31st; $20 till 1/31; $30 till 2/19. Race Day Registration (2/21) $35.

Don't want to run but still want to support the cause? This is the event for you! All you need to do is register and show up to cheer the runners!

All Participants must sign a waiver to participate. No pets allowed on course.

Purpose of event: Mocksville Rotary Club - to benefit - The beneficiaries of the race will be Family Promise of Davie County and Impact which are both local charities.

Course description: Flat run through downtown Mocksville: Down Main Street to the Greenways at Rich Park, a slight incline by Mocksville Elementary School and the YMCA and back to downtown.

Pricing and deadlines:

$30 early registration from now until March 1st,

$35 from March 2nd to March 13th,

$40 on race day

Shirt order deadline: March 1st t-shirt order deadline to guarantee a shirt (S, M, L, XL)

Packet pick up:

March 13th from 4 PM to 7 PM at O’Callahans, 115 N Main St, Mocksville NC

March 14th from 7 AM til race start (race day)

Certified Senior Games Event for our local Senior Center

Davie County Residents 50 or better are invited to register for the Davie County Senior Games. There is an extra registration fee of $15 that includes a Davie County Senior Games t-shirt and two meals. The Shamrock Run is the official 5K event for Davie County Senior Games.
