Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.
Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.
Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.
Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

Experience the 6th Annual Jump Off Rock Half Marathon & 10K, presented by Hunter Subaru and UNC Health Pardee. This springtime race offers a scenic and fast course that winds through some of the most beautiful areas of Hendersonville!
The Half Marathon starts at the iconic Jump Off Rock in Laurel Park, with sweeping views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and colorful spring blooms. Runners then follow a gently downhill, USATF-certified course into the heart of downtown Hendersonville—known as one of the most picturesque half marathons in the Southeast.
The 10K begins at the Hendersonville Family YMCA and joins the half marathon route partway through. This course is mostly flat with a few gentle rollers, making it great for all abilities.
Both races finish on Main Street in Historic Downtown Hendersonville, where runners will be welcomed with lively finish line festivities and small-town charm.

With 90% of the course on well-maintained gravel roads, it’s the perfect mix of beauty and challenge. A single short hill adds just enough elevation to keep things interesting — total elevation gain is approximately 575 feet.

Join us for meaningful way to celebrate Veterans Day with the Veterans Day 5K, presented by Best Buy Metals, on Sunday, November 8, at Mills River Park. This event is more than a run—it’s a chance to come together as a community to honor our veterans and support the life-changing work of the Veterans Healing Farm.
The 5K course follows the family-friendly greenway at Mills River Park, that welcomes runners and walkers of all ages and abilities. A finisher medal, race shirt, & chip timing are included in 5k race registration.
If you're not up to the 5K, we have an untimed, fun run option that is a ~1/2 mile flat loop. This option is good for kiddo's or those looking for a shorter distance. The Fun Run Loop includes a finisher medal and a bib. Parents/Guardians are welcome to run or walk along side! There are no awards for the Kids Loop. Fun Runners can add on the race shirt for $15 through check out.
This race is a fundraiser for the Veterans Healing Farm, a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans through agriculture, community, and hands-on healing experiences.
