Experience one of the oldest road runs in North Carolina. Except for the 2020 year due to the pandemic, the
event has been held annually since 1979. Come be part of a running event with a long tradition and enjoy a run
or walk on a USATF certified course primarily along streets lined with azaleas and dogwoods. Participants can
enjoy The Hub as well as the further extensions of the Streetscape improvements to Center Street. Our
volunteers will observe safety precautions as necessary to facilitate another excellent event.
The Run for a Child – 47th Annual Greater Goldsboro Road Run is facilitated by the Sunrise Kiwanis of
Goldsboro. The event is a fundraiser to help support our purpose of assisting the children and youth of our

20 local organizations that assist the needy children and youth of Wayne County.
