5 running, cycling, and duathlon events in Jefferson City, Missouri

The Leprechauns have taken over! The Leprechauns have taken a detour and ended up in the town of Jefferson City, Missouri! Come stay active with us as search for the Leprechauns golden coins! This is a fun run so no payment to participate is required and everyone is welcomed! We have two choices you can choose from with the fun mile run or the longer 5k run! This will be a flat course filled with much fun! We will start at the Noren Access and follow the course onto the Katy Trail! The fun mile will start at 8:30 with the 5k to follow after! Please show up before 8:15 to sign waiver! We hope to see you there!

Medals will be given to the kids and those with special needs for the fun mile run! Maybe we will even catch that silly Leprechaun!

Join us for the fourth annual Capital City Race, an event dedicated to raising awareness for mental health and honoring the memory of Jared Palmer, who tragically lost his life to mental illness in November 2021.

Choose from a 5K, 10K, or Jefferson City’s first-ever Half Marathon and enjoy routes that showcase the Capital City’s most beloved landmarks. Whether you walk, jog, or run, every step you take supports mental health awareness and strengthens our community.

Join us for 10th edition of The Great Escape & Mini Escape Triathlons on June 13th & 14th, 2026!! We are excited to offer a well-organized, family & beginner friendly triathlon in Jefferson City, Missouri!

To complete the Escape, athletes will have a snake swim in the 4 lane, 50 meter pool at Ellis Porter Riverside Park, then on to the bike over city & rural roads to the outskirts of the new Missouri State Prison and back. The run will take athletes to the old historic Missouri State Penitentiary and back to cross the finish line and earn the classic Great Escape medal! With triathlon & duathlon events for ages 13 & up (The Great Escape), and a triathlon event for ages 5 - 12 (The Mini Escape), there is something for the whole family.
