What is a Tunnel To Towers Run & Walk?

The Tunnel to Towers Run & Walk Series was created to honor the heroic life and death of Stephen Siller, a New York City firefighter (FDNY) who lost his life on September 11, 2001 after strapping on his gear and running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the Twin Towers. Honor all of those who lost their lives on September 11, 2001 and support our first responders and military who make extraordinary sacrifices in the line of duty! For more information on the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation please visit t2t.org.

Welcome to the Fifth Annual Kasners Kick Duchenne (KKD) Gravel bike event!

Your tax-deductible registration directly helps in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).

The Kasner family has two young boys diagnosed with DMD. KKD GRAVEL is intended to raise awareness and funds to fight this terrible disease for the Kasner boys and others who battle DMD — a rare genetic and ultimately fatal disease.

To date, this event has raised over $50,000 in the fight against Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

    Distances

There are four distances for this gravel bike event:

    17.9 MILE STROLL (~17.9 miles / 450 ft elevation)

    HALF 79ER (~44 miles / 1,400 ft elevation)

    79 MILE CHALLENGE (~79 miles / 3,300 ft elevation)

    158 ULTRA ENDURANCE (~158 miles / 5,600 ft elevation)

    Event details

All distances start and stop at Rambling River Park, about 30 minutes south of the Twin Cities, with staggered start times from 5:30am–11:00am.

Routes will explore the gravel roads of Dakota, Rice, Le Sueur, and Scott Counties (depending on your distance). These roads are familiar, scenic, and sneakily challenging — and you’re going to love riding them.

    Post-ride party

There will be free pizza and drinks, live music, giveaways, raffle, auction, and other good stuff.

To ride in the event, a donation is requested. All proceeds from this event, including your registration, go directly to the Flanigan Lab at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, which Kasners Kick Duchenne has partnered with for this event. The Flanigan Lab uses these donations on the Duchenne front lines, researching toward a cure.

    ALL DONATIONS ARE TAX DEDUCTIBLE.

As organizers — and neighbors and friends of the Kasners — we can say firsthand: the biking community is one of the most generous groups you’ll find anywhere. Can’t wait to see you all there showing support for this brave family!

PLEASE NOTE: Some registration levels include giveaway items (see event website) and have cut-off deadlines. Online registration stays open until the day before the event; however, giveaway items are only guaranteed if you register by the posted deadlines. Day-of in-person registration is available.

An absolutely worthy cause, free pizza and drinks, tax-deductible donation, fantastic routes, stellar post-ride activities, and amazing giveaways.

PLEASE JOIN US IN THE FIGHT AGAINST DUCHENNE!
