Are you looking to recharge your engine or find your happy place? If yes, come with us, exit the fast lane and encounter fitness, food, fun, and friends.

Camp Running Roots offers individuals or couples the opportunity to explore paths to improve health and enjoy life. Mike and Amorena Wojciakowski will act as your hosts at this three day, two night adventure where running, eating, and relaxing collide.

The stay is All-Inclusive and will offer such amenities as sunrise yoga, kayaking, and demonstrations on healthy snacking. Yes, some running will be done, but it will be the memories, not the miles you take away from this camp.

The event, hosted by RunGR, will be geared toward anyone seeking a throw back adventure in a peaceful, stress free environment.

If we have your attention and your curiosity has taken over, here are a few more key details about the camp.

*Camp accommodations will be in the Red and Green Cabins on the bank of the Pere Marquette River. The Red Cabin has three bedrooms with four beds in each, two full baths, washer/dryer, full kitchen, and a large screened in front porch on the river. The Green Cabin has two bedrooms with four beds each, full kitchen, and a large deck overlooking the river. We will do our best to accommodate campers in an arrangement that everyone is comfortable with. Bedding and linens will be provided.

*Located on 80 acres of wooded land, with over 6000 feet of river frontage (both sides), this is solitude at its best. The property will act as the backdrop as we tackle dirt roads and trails for our daily training runs.

*All meals, snacks, and drinks will be provided. The meals will be created with an emphasis on nutritious and delicious fuel for runners. We hope you will come away with a few new ideas to add to your recipe library. If you are a runner with dietary restrictions you will be prompted at the time you register to let us know. We will accommodate you to the best of our abilities and create a plan together that works for you.

*Campers will participate in two relaxed easy runs and a long run that take will take us on the North Country Trail. The setting is the perfect time to pick Coach's brain and learn a few new moves to make you a stronger, more efficient runner. During camp Coach Woj will also hold a few meetings on topics such as training theory, race preparation, goal setting and injury prevention. He is eager to answer any questions you may have. Coach Woj has a wealth of information after over three decades of coaching. Once you get him started he may not stop!

*As much as we love running, your time at camp won't be all fitness and information. Other highlights include: kayaking the Pere Marquette, open air sunrise yoga, relaxing with your camp mates at nightly happy hour and a trip to the famous Jones Ice Cream. And of course we couldn't call it camp with out a roaring campfire under the stars and a couple of smores.

We look forward to having you join us at Camp Running Roots.
