Two branches of the Kalamazoo River coming together into one at the center of Albion and the river provides the perfect setting for Victory Park, one of Albion’s prized possessions. The Forks 5K
coincides with Albion’s annual Festival of the Forks. Don’t just run on Friday night and skip town, instead, stay and enjoy wonderful food and music all day on Saturday during the Festival of the Forks.
Your Registration Does More Than Secure Your Spot…
When you register for a Run Albion event you are giving back to the Albion community. With the generous support of our sponsors, we are able to cover the cost of the entire series. Each registration fee is then used as a donation to a local nonprofit organization that provides course volunteers. In 2023 Run Albion donated over $3,000 across five different nonprofits. In fact, one donation made by Run Albion doubled the organization's operating budget for the entire year!
5K Run/Walk. The 5K is open to strollers and dogs. Kids Fun Run is free.
5k Special pricing: Students 18 and under $10 discount off entry fee. Applied automatically during checkout.
Check-In and On-Site Registration: 5:00PM – 6:00PM
Race Start: All runners and walkers will start at 6:30pm
The race will be professionally timed by the Michigan Running Foundation. Results will be live during the race and posted on this website.

VIRTUAL 5K RUN/WALK
If you cannot make the Run Albion series events in person, but you would still like to participate and support the local non-profits that are beneficiaries of Run Albion's proceeds, you can complete in the Virtual Forks 5k. A virtual race is a race that can be run (or walked) from any location you choose. You can run, jog, or walk on the rod, or the trail, or the treadmill, at the gym or on the track (or even at another race). You get to run your own race, at your own pace, and time it yourself. All participants will receive a medal!
What: This is a virtual race, so you choose your own course and time yourself.
When: Complete your race any time between September 19 and September 21. Medals will ship by October 10th, 2025
Where: You choose the course and you time yourself. Text your results using the link provided when you signed up and that will be your official time.
Why: You want to participate because you love Albion as much as we do, you just can't always be in Albion in person.
Cost: The price is $30 and includes a finishers medal and the event swag.
Series Awards: There will be no Virtual Series Awards in 2025. If you participate in 2 in-person events and 1 virtual event, you'll be eligible for in-person series awards.
