Description
Meeting 2 days per week for 5 weeks (Monday's and Thursdays's) a team of coaches led by Queen City Striders- IM Program Coordinator & General Manager, Chad Hause, will be providing a positive atmosphere where youth athletes can be inspired and motivated through the discipline of running. Additionally our youth will learn the principles of leadership, respect, and teamwork as well as portraying healthy habits to last a lifetime. We will break down the fundamental skills of running to meet the needs of all those participating. Our techniques will be taught through specific stretching, drills, bodyweight strength exercises, and of course Running! Included in our program is 10, 1-hour sessions, post practice snacks, program T-Shirt, and discounted entries into local races. n
Located at Iron Mountain City Park, our camp will feature drills and activities located on the grassy area of the park. We will also utilize the trails within the park. Parents are welcomed spectate their kids participating in the camp activities. Any general questions regarding the program are encouraged to be asked! All participants will receive complimentary entries into selected local races taking place in the summer and fall months. The program coordinator will be in contact in the weeks prior to the race to verify additional details. If the race falls outside of the Queen City Striders program, they will still receive a complimentary entry or discounted rate. Races to plan on:

Little and Big Striders (5-8 years old): 5:30-6:30pm
Dashers and Pacers (9-12 years old): 5:30pm-6:30pm
First day of Camp: June 22nd
Last day of Camp: July 23rd

Race yourself and other competitors up the 500 stairs of Giant Pine Mountain in Iron Mountain, Michigan. Are you tough enough to become the "King of the Mountain"? How about tackling the Deuce? Better yet, Challenge yourself to the EXTREME route!
New for 2026 - the Pine Muddin' 500, Trail run! Tackle one of our trails before you climb the stairs. Route is TBD but we can assure you - it's going to be a new challenge that'll be worth every second of training!
The event will start at the top of Pine Mountain. Participants will race down Kramer Drive to Lower Pine Mountain Road/Hibbard Street before turning on Pine Mountain Road and racing to the Pine Mountain 500. Event is chip timed and participants will receive an overall and a Pine Mountain 500 time. Deuce participants will do it twice! EXTREME participants will do it FOUR times!

The Lake Antoine Classic is a fundraising event for Special Olympics. All race proceeds (and donations) go directly to Special Olympics.
15K Run and Bike travel through Fumee Lake Natural Area. The course is mostly flat, unpaved scenic trails.
The 5 Mile Run, 5 Mile Walk, 5K Run and 5K Walk are around beautiful Lake Antoine. The course is flat and paved (will accommodate strollers).
All events start and finish at Lake Antoine County Park, Iron Mountain, MI.
RACE DAY REGISTRATION - 7:30 to 8:30 AM at Lake Antoine Park on Saturday August 16, 2026 CST.
Packet pickup 7:30 - 8:30 AM. All races start at 9:00AM CST.
Preregistration will be done only through online signup on this website - Runsignup.com. There will be race day registration (using late registration fees), although t-shirts are not guaranteed for any race day registration. If you have a question on this, please email [email protected]. The late registration is from Aug 8 - Aug 14th, 2026. The 15K Run, 5 Mile Run, and 5K Run will be $25 preregistration and $30 late registration. The 5K Walk, 5 Mile Walk, and 15K Bike will all be $20 preregistration and $25 late registration. Special Olympians are free and there is a $2/participant UPRR discount.
Children aged 12 and under are half price!
Leashed dogs welcome - Helmet required for the 15K Bike.
Competitive Events - 15K Run, 5 Mile Run and 5K Run. Overall awards to the top three male and female finishers.
Age group awards: 11 and under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
Non-Competitive Events - 5 Mile Walk, 5K Walk and 15K Bike
