The Headless Horseman 5K is BACK and SPOOKIER than ever! This dusk event will be in-person and kick-off at State and Clinton Streets in beautiful Downtown Howell. Costumed participants will wind their way through the historic neighborhoods and through Scofield City Park. Participants will receive a long-sleeved 50/50 blend shirt if registered by the end of the day on September 27th.
Early Packet Pick up will take place Oct. 14th -16th at the Oceola Community Center 1661 N. Latson Rd. Howell MI 48843 during normal business hours.
Walkers, strollers, assistive devices, and dogs on 6ft leashes are welcome.
Please note that funds from this program help to cover not only costs incurred from the program itself but also help to make the Legend of Sleepy Howell possible. This longstanding community event offers a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience and helps especially those kids living in rural areas. Thank you for your support!

The Lenawee Endurance Club is proud to bring back The Missing Slice – Love, Hope & Pizza 5K for its second year! This annual event raises funds and awareness for breast cancer research, support, and early detection through the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
Why “The Missing Slice”?
The name is a nod to our mission: to help close the gap in resources needed to end breast cancer—and a shout-out to our title sponsor, Hungry Howie’s, who will be serving up free post-race pizza for all participants!
This event is personal to so many of us—whether you or a loved one has faced breast cancer, we invite you to run, walk, or cheer in support of this meaningful cause. Our community fundraising goal this year is $2,500, and 100% of donations will go directly to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Runners will enjoy breathtaking views, a mostly flat course, and the peaceful beauty of Kensington’s wooded surroundings. SATURDAY OCTOBER 24, 2026. Our event will be hosted from the Thomas Welch Activity Center inside Lake St Clair Metropark with a start/finish line right outside the building!
Runners and walkers have come to make the Halloween Hustle a tradition! Come celebrate the holiday with family and friends as you run, jog or walk your way to the finish line. We have a distance for goblins of all ages including 8K, 5K and a fun run (approx .5 mile).

Get your costume ready for the 3rd edition of the Halloween Hustle. In honor of Crossroads Village and Huckleberry Railroad’s 50th anniversary, we are offering even more expansions and incentives! This year’s event will include the 5K run and walk, Kids’ Trick-or Trot (¼ and ½ mile distances) and the NEW, first-ever Crim Half Marathon: the Halloween Half (complete with its own Training Program, if you need it!).
The 5K course is a two-loop course through the historic, decorated village on improved gravel roads. The Halloween Half will do one lap through the village and will complete the majority of the 13.1 miles on the Flint River/Iron Belle Trail. Participants can take in views of Bluebell Beach, Mott Lake, Stepping Stone Falls, and beautifully wooded county land. Finishers will receive a 4” Crossroads-inspired finisher’s medal and long sleeve tech shirt. Those who register also will enjoy on-course aid, fall-themed finish line refreshments, and a post-race beverage tent, for those who are 21 and over. Finally, event participants can take a free ride on the carousel with a paid park admission.
Awards will be given for runners and walkers, male and female, based on age group - but awards will also be given in a number of different costume categories.

Race Details
This is a timed, out-and-back 5K course on the riverwalk that runs through Milliken State Park.
One water station will be provided on the course at the turnaround at approximately the 1-mile mark
Although we love our furry friends at PACE Southeast Michigan, we ask that you please leave your personal pets/dogs at home for the safety and comfort of our runners and volunteers.
This event is non-refundable and will occur rain or shine.

Kids Without Cancer presents the Haunted Hustle 5k and Monster Mile!
The event takes place on Sunday, October 25th at ITC Community Sports Park in Northville. The festivities will kick off with the Monster Mile at 10:00 AM and the 5k run/walk (3.1 miles) will start at 10:30 AM. There is plenty of parking at the park and a beautiful playground right near the start/finish. Restrooms on site.
Pricing: $30 until October 11th with a t-shirt guaranteed. $35 from 10/12 to 10/24 (shirts available as supplies last), $40 race day.
Discounted pricing for families: We're encouraging families to participate together and are offering special pricing for you! Save 10% when registering 3 or more people from the same household.
Course: The start and finish is at the pavilion near the park at the corner of 8 mile and Napier. The 5k run/walk👟 is an out and back on the paved ITC trail. All ages and abilities are welcome, you can run or walk at your own pace. The Monster Mile is a shorter fun run for all ages - great for families and kids! Runners, Walkers, Strollers and Wagons all allowed. No bicycles, skateboard or rollerblades please.

Join us on Sunday, October 25 at Uncle John's Cider Mill for the Playmakers Ghostly Gallop! This event includes a 5K Run/Walk, Boo Dash kids race, and the 1 Mile Kids XC Race. All three races will take place on Uncle John's farm, with panoramic views of the apple orchards. The 5K course is fully off-road, making it the perfect cross country experience for runners and walkers of all ages! And when you finish, Uncle John's cider and donuts will be waiting for you at the finish line!
After the event, stick around Uncle John's Cider Mill and enjoy their taproom, free tractor rides, corn maze, and other attractions, plus live music and food trucks!

Nuestra Comunidad is excited for the third annual Corre con Los Muertos - Run with the Dead on Saturday, October 31st at Cascades Park in Jackson. Come celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and Dia de Los Muertos with Nuestra Comunidad (Our Community). All race proceeds will go to supporting scholarships and resources for Hispanic students in the Jackson community.
