Krampulauf The half goat half demon Krampus who has been known to punish misbehaving children around Christmas time will be coming back to the Dartmouth Ski way in Lyme NH for the Krampuslauf 5K, 10K, and 9-hour event! The course starts at the base of the mountain at the beautiful ski-lodge. Runners will head out to on Holt's side of the mountain where they will take on he first challenging 5K up the mountain. Once completed, 5K runners will cross the finish line and 10K runners will continue to the 5K course on the Winslow side of the mountain. Course information can be found at this link https://www.alltrails.com/explore/map/map-8900faa-6?u=i&sh=tndajd How many laps can you get in 9-hours? You will complete the entire 10K loop which includes both Holt’s and Winslow side of the mountain. When finishing Winslow, you will pass the lodge on the back side and there is access inside where we will have an area set up for you to leave a drop bag/bin. Please keep your area within reason. I am not
going to set a specific space size unless this becomes an issue. After you warm up, replenish water, food, you will leave the same door you came in and continue down the trail to start the 10K loop again on Holt’s side of the mountain. Each runner will receive a 10K medal after completing the first lap. Each lap after that, you will be given a Race Mozey pin to put on the lanyard holding the medal. Once you complete your fifth lap (50K), you will be upgraded to the 50K medal and continue to receive pins after that if you continue. You will start your race at 7:00 AM and the race will end at 4:00 PM. This means that if you cross the finish line at 4:00:01 PM, that lap will not count towards your entire mileage for the race. For the runners looking at placement, time will be the tie breaker if more than one runner achieves the same number of laps. That means that if the two top runners complete 7 laps, the runner who completed the laps in the quicker time will be awarded the winner. Laps will
be tracked by a board within the pit area. You will mark your time in and out. This is non-negotiable as this will allow us to know who is out on course and how long you have been out there. IMPORTANT TO NOTE: Since you are stopping at the lodge prior to the finish line, your lap will not officially count until you cross the finish line (the door to the lodge is 100 yards from the finish). Once you complete the race, you will need to cross the finish and then enter either back up through the back door or through the front door and back up through the stairs. 10K Runners: You will complete both 5K courses on each side of the mountain. You will start your race at 9:00 AM on Holt’s side of the mountain. After completing Holt’s, you will run across the road and start the 5K course on Winslow side. When you are completing your 10K race, you will continue past the lodge to the finish line.5K Runners: You will run the 5K course on Holt’s side. Your race will begin at 10:00 AM. Once you complete
the course, you will cross the road and run through the finish line located next to the lodge. Event's current local time: 5:11 AM ET

The 12-hour runners will all be given a place to store a drop bin. We cannot promise that this area will be able to get out of the elements, so come prepared. Please keep your drop bin to a smaller bin to leave room for all the runners. The 30-hour runners will be given a 10'X10' section that they will be able to set up their pit area. We do not care what you put in that 10'X10' section, just as long as you stay within that space. We want to make sure that everyone has enough room so please be courteous of your neighbors. Pre Registration We will have pre registration the night before the event at the start/finish area. 30-hour runners will be allowed
to set up their tents in their space and any 12-hour runner that pre registers can leave their drop bin if they would like. We suggest doing this option if you can because race morning will be hectic and early if you need to check-in and setup on race day. The pre registration will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. At 8:00:01 PM, registration will be closed and you will need to register in the morning. 30-hour runners are allowed to stay within their tents the night before the race after they have registered. For 12-hour runners, please check with local airBNB or campgrounds if you are coming up the night before. Please reach out to me if you have any issues finding a place to stay. Waitlist If there is a waitlist that starts, we will let you know by 10/6/2026 if you have been accepted. If you have not heard from us by that date, then you will not be entered into the race this year. Waitlist will start after the capacity has been filled. Payment Plan If you want to run Devils Den, but having
trouble finding the funds, we are more than happy to work with everyone. Simply reach out and we are happy to discuss options that will work with your finances Event's current local time: 4:45 AM ET
