    Race Update:

Due to weather forecasts for astronomical high tides, extreme wind, potential for flooding on the course, and dangerous wind chill, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the race until March 1.

All 2026 registrants will be automatically moved to the new date, no actions needed on your part. Any runners who have chosen to defer to the 2027 race or switched to the virtual, may re-enter the 2026 in-person race on the new date of March 1. Please, email [email protected] if you’ve deferred and want to run the March 1, 2026 event. We will be processing these over the next week.

If you’re unable to run on the March 1st date, we have updated our deferral policy, and are allowing deferments to the February 7, 2027 race. Purchased shirts can not be transferred to 2027, and must be collected up at Packet Pickup, or at Marathon Sports from March 8-April 1.

Packet pickup will now be February 28 at Finish Strong PT. Race date is 9:45 am on Sunday, March 1, on the full 10 mile race course.

Volunteers - If you are able to transfer to Feb 28/ March 1st, same position/ same time slot please email [email protected] to confirm or cancel.

Registration for the March 1 race will be open until we reach our cap or February 28 at 1:00 pm.

Important: Please do not run on the course on February 1st. There will be no support available.

    Race Day and Virtual Option

The 2026 Mid-Winter 10 Mile Classic will be race #1 for the 2026 Maine Track Club Grand Prix series. Points will be awarded based on performance at each MTC race, and prizes and bragging rights will be given out at the end of the year at the Annual Banquet.

The gun will fire on Sunday, March 1st, 2026 at 9:45 a.m. The start and finish lines are at Cape Elizabeth High School at 345 Ocean House Rd.

We will also have a virtual racing option for the week leading up to the race, where you can run 10 outdoor miles at any time from January 26 through March 1st, 2026. You must report your run by 11:59pm on February 1st.

You may run both the virtual and in person options for the race, but you may not count the in person race as your virtual result. They must be run separately. You will only get credit for one event (in person or virtual) for the Maine Track Club Grand Prix.

    Registration

Registration will be back to 2 waves this year.

    1. On Saturday, November 22nd at 2:00pm, we will be opening 100 spots for Maine Track Club members only. You must be a member in good standing through race day in order to be able to register early. (Click here to check your registration status.)

    2. Public registration for the additional remaining bibs will open at 7:00 a.m. on the following Monday, November 24th.

If you want to run the virtual #MWCinTheWild option, you can register beginning on Wednesday, November 26th at 7:00 a.m. until the start of the in-person race on February 1st at 9:45am.

Registration will cost $35 for the in person race and $15 for the virtual race, with proceeds benefiting the Maine Track Club and local high school running teams (based on runner and volunteer zip codes.)

We will have long sleeve shirts available for an additional $15 if you would like to purchase one at registration. This year's race shirt colors have not yet been determined.

    Packet Pickup

Packet Pickup will be on the Saturday before the race from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and on race day starting at 7:00 a.m.

In 2026, the Ruck for the Fallen will unite members of our community to honor our fallen Service Members in a 10k obstacle course race hosted at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, ME. We do this in tribute of those men and women from our local community whose lives were lost while serving in our nation's Armed Forces and who fought to defend the freedoms of America that we enjoy each and every day.

During this race, participants will strap packs to their backs and ruck through the beautiful (yet challenging) trails of Pineland Farms before undertaking "The Crucible," a series of 20+ obstacles that will test your strength, will, and endurance before crossing the finish line and earning your place amongst the elite.

Challenge. Serve. Inspire. These are the three pillars of R4TF that we encourage each member of our community to emulate. Together, we will carry forth the selfless service and extraordinary character that was exemplified by each of our fallen heroes. By doing so, we will remember them and continue to live a life worthy of their sacrifice.

UCan 5K & Kids Fun Run – A Community Tradition Continues

Join us on Saturday, August 29th as we proudly host the second year of the revived UCan 5K, a cherished community tradition held in loving memory of Candace Woolston. This meaningful event celebrates community spirit, wellness, and the enduring legacy of a beloved community member.

Participants will enjoy a scenic 5K course showcasing the natural beauty of Raymond, including picturesque views of Sebago Lake. The race will begin and end at Sheri Gagnon Memorial Park, traveling along familiar local roads that make this event both memorable and enjoyable for runners and walkers of all abilities.

In addition to the 5K, we are excited to offer a Kids Fun Run prior to the main event—providing our youngest community members an opportunity to participate and promote healthy, active lifestyles.

Proceeds from this year’s UCan 5K will directly benefit four outstanding organizations dedicated to strengthening our community.

We invite you to run, walk, and rally around this special cause as we continue building momentum in the second year of bringing this important tradition back to Raymond.

Registration is now open. Shirts are not guaranteed for participants who register after August 1st.
