2 running, walking, and fun run events in Leonardtown, Maryland

The Run & Fun Walk began in 1996 and has raised over $1M for Hospice of St. Mary’s County. 100% of net proceeds benefit Hospice of St. Mary’s in providing comfort, care, and support for the terminally ill.

We are Southern Maryland’s biggest and best running event featuring our "World Famous Brunch", music, and fun. We welcome children, strollers/baby joggers, and pets.

Your participation in this event will make a difference.

Include a 5K in your Memorial Day Weekend plans! Over the last 13 years we have donated over $41,000.00 to our local volunteer fire department. Our event has enabled the LVFD to purchase new equipment used for fighting fires throughout our county.

Our 5K course loops through the beautiful neighborhood of Leonard's Grant and is USAT&F certified and chip-timed. Our Fun Run course draws about 80 little runners each year to kick off the morning's festivities.

5K medals will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers in the following age categories: Overall, 13 & Under, 14-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61+

Register here for $40. Register by 5/13/26 to guarantee your shirt size; there will be no shirt exchanges. Although you can also register at Walk-in Registration the day before the race, you will not be guaranteed your preferred shirt size at that time.

THERE IS NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION but you will be able to pick up your packet on race day if you have already registered online.

The Kids' Fun Run will start at 8:00, with distances of 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile. Register your kid for the Fun Run for $5 at Walk-in Registration on Friday, May 22th at the LG Clubhouse. All 5K registrants include one free Fun Run Registration!
