Our Rock the Run 5K started in 2015 to celebrate our 60th Diamond Anniversary of The Hope Center at Hagerstown Rescue Mission and to bring the community together to help raise support and awareness for the homeless and hungry in our community.
Rock the Run 5K allows us to bring businesses, runners, walkers, competitors, and volunteers together to have fun, share some laughs, run or walk a few miles, and raise money for those in need. This year's fundraiser will help us convert our front porch into a 4-season emergency weather shelter.
We encourage our participants to have fun with costumes and accessories and show us your pirate or princess side! We'll be making this event a little more exciting with some pirate & princess-themed touches to everything. But most importantly, we want you to have fun because you're supporting a great cause and doing something amazing for our community. So start talking it over with all your running friends, encourage others to join you, and then grab that eye-patch, tiara, and your running shoes for Rock the Run: Pirates vs Princess!

The YMCA’s Color Splash Fun Run is a vibrant 1K and 5K experience designed for families, all ages, and all fitness levels! This exciting and unique community event invites participants to walk, jog, run, or stroll through the course while being “splashed” with an array of colorful powder at multiple stations along the way.
Color Splash is all about fun, movement, and togetherness—not competition. While a clock will be visible at the finish line, there will be no timing chips, keeping the focus on enjoyment rather than speed. Whether you’re pushing a stroller, walking with friends, or running for fitness, everyone is welcome!
Come dressed in white, bring your biggest smiles, and leave covered in color—this is a celebration of healthy living and community spirit you won’t want to miss!
