Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K & Marathon Relay

The 45th Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10Km & Marathon Team Relay is one of the premier winter race events in New England. It's the first distance race event of the year with runners from all over New England hoping to either run a personal record, cover the distance for the first time, maybe qualify for the Boston Marathon or to just get moving again after a winter of cold and slow runs!

10:00 AM start for all participants in the Sunday races, except those who signed up for the special marathon early start, which is at 9:30 AM (ONLY for those who will take longer than 5 hours to complete the race).

The Race Courses Start & Finish at the Cape Cod Irish Village at The Emerald Resort & Conference Center...the best place to stay!!

The courses are extremely picturesque and historical, passing along the Barnstable Police Officer Michael Aselton Memorial Park, Historic Hyannis Harbor, John F. Kennedy Memorial, Kalus Beach, Lewis Bay & the Kennedy Family Compound in Hyannisport, Craigville Beach and the beautiful village of Centerville.

The course is paved and mostly flat and gentle, with a few rolling areas ideal for a late winter/early spring PR.

The Marathon and Marathon Team Relay are two loops of the half marathon course.

The Marathon Team Relay is is comprised of four legs (Leg 1 is 7.0 miles, Leg 2 is 6.1 miles, Leg 3 is 7.0 miles, and Leg 4 is 6.1 miles). You may have a team of 2, 3, or 4 members.

The course is not closed to traffic; however, the traffic is very light on most of the route. The course is well monitored by police and volunteers.

The marathon and half marathon courses are USATF certified by Ray Nelson.

    • USATF Certification # MA11001RN - Marathon

    • USATF Certification # MA11002RN - Half Marathon

The Hyannis Marathon, Half Marathon, 10Km, and Marathon Team Relay will run concurrently on Sunday morning.

There is a strict 6 hour time completion. All Safety and Course Management will be off the course at 4:00pm.

The 2026 Unified 5k and AdaptXpo is an inclusive road race and adaptive sports expo designed so that everyone can participate, whether they run, walk, row, or roll. The event raises critical funds for AdaptX education, research, community events, fitness programming, and grant initiatives. The Unified 5k is a space where athletes with and without disabilities show up together, challenge perceptions, and prove that fitness and sport are more meaningful when everyone has a place at the starting line.

Join us on April 22nd at Sturgis Charter School for our 1st annual event where you can walk, run, or roll, either the 5k (3.1 mile) or 1 mile course. Arrive early or hang around after the event to check out our vendors and clinics at the AdaptXpo, a celebration of organizations that focus on health, inclusion, accessibility, assistive technology, and adaptive sports.

Help us make fitness and physical activity accessible for every body.
