Kindness Week draws inspiration from the resilience and unity demonstrated on One Boston Day, embodying its spirit through acts of compassion and generosity within our school community.

We are proud to announce the upcoming Danvers Police Department 3rd Annual D.A.R.E. 5K Road Race at Danvers High School on Sunday, May 17, 2026 and would like to take this opportunity to invite you to participate in this year’s race by running, walking, sponsoring, or making a donation. All proceeds directly benefit the Danvers Police Department’s D.A.R.E. program.

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education – D.A.R.E. is a prevention program that teaches students positive ways to say no to drugs and violence. It is a partnership between the Danvers Police Department, business & community leaders, parents and teachers who work together to help children deal with the pressures and influences that promote drug abuse and violence. The D.A.R.E. curriculum focuses on teaching life skills such as dealing with peer pressure, bullying, managing stress, developing problem solving skills and building self-esteem. The funds allow us to greatly enhance our ability to provide the D.A.R.E. program. As well as other community events which support health interactions between our youths and police officers.

Griffin's Gift 10th Annual Road Race and Family Fun Day

To celebrate Griffin's birthday, every year families are invited to Danvers High School to play, run, and enjoy the love of family! Please bring your children and your inner child and enjoy FREE water slides, bouncy houses, and so much more! We can't wait to see all your smiling faces as we celebrate Griffin and the gift of adoption!

What is Griffin's Gift?

Every family is unique. Each is built out of love. That love comes in many forms. For us, adoption was part of our family’s formation. Our first son, Griffin was born out of love on July 3, 2014.

Adoption is an incredible journey that results in instant love. We believe any family who is committed to adopting a child should be able to make it a reality. We do not want finances to be the deciding factor for a family. Therefore, Griffin’s Gift provides zero-interest loans to families with a completed home study. Families are able to select the amount of money needed and the loan timeframe so that completing their family is financially attainable.

Since the time we finalized Griffin’s adoption, we always wanted to create a non-profit program like Griffin’s Gift. We never imagined that it would become our son’s legacy. Nevertheless, we are grateful to all our supporters and we are tremendously proud of the work we are doing to honor Griffin’s life.
