3 running, fun run, and walking events in Pineville, Louisiana

Rapides Junior Runners Spring Series will host 3 races in February and March for kids aged 3 to 14. One registration fee of $50 enters the runner into all three spring races. Various distances are run, depending on the child's age and preference: 3-5 year olds will run 1/2 mile - untimed but will receive a participation medal; 6-14 year olds will choose the preferred distance of 1 mile or 2 miles during the initial registration.

Once registered, racer will run this distance every event. If the racer chooses to change distances, please email organizers or inform organizers at the registration tent on race morning prior to running. Two-mile participants will register as individual participants only - no team competitions in the spring season.

Upon individual registration, each participant will receive a bib number. Please keep the same bib for all 3 races and pin to the front of the racer's shirt - top and bottom. The racer must have a bib number to participate. If the racer's bib number is lost or forgotten, replacement bib numbers will be available for purchase at the race venue for a cost of $10.

Awards will be presented following the conclusion of the morning races and will include male and female top three for each age group in the one mile race: male and female - 6 years; male and female - 7 years; male and female - 8 years; male and female - 9 years; male and female - 10 years; male and female - 11 years; male and female -12 years; male and female - 13 years; male and female - 14 years. The top 3 male and female runners will be recognized in the 2 mile race.

• For all scheduled races - 1/2 Milers run at 8:45; 1 Milers run at 9:00; 2 mile race time to be announced.

• We start the races as close to these times as possible. Please be at race site at least 15 minutes prior to above listed race time.

RACE TIME: 5K Starts at 8:00am, 1 mile starts immediately after 5k is finished.

REGISTRATION FEE: $25 to Register in advance until March 31st. Starting April 1st, registration is $30.00. Race Day Registration is $30.

PACKET PICK-UP: Early pickup is Friday, May 1st from 12-5:30 pm at Lagniappe Homecare @ 3130 Jackson St., Alexandria, LA.

Race Day pick up from 6:30-7:45am at Forts Randolph & Buhlow State Historic Site in Pineville, LA.

AGE DIVISIONS: Male and Female: 9 and Under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-74, 75 and over

5K AWARDS: CASH awarded to Top 3 Overall (Male/Female) & Top Masters & Grand Masters (Male/Female) $150-$100-$75
