Sam's Love is a non-profit organization that supplies baby books to families walking through stillbirth and/or pregnancy loss at no cost. We are hosting our 3rd 5K in honor of our son who was born sleeping on January 27th, 2021. Samuel Beckett Honaker lived a brief but rich life where he only knew love and warmth. We hope to raise funds to continue to provide the 25+ organizations with our Sam's Love books nationwide by using the funds from this 5K to order more books.

The race will be Saturday February 14th, 2026 at Forsythe Park in Monroe LA. The race will include the option of a one mile fun run or the standard 5K. All funds raised from this race will go directly toward furthering our mission at Sam's Love. Our mission is to improve bereavement care by providing our books to families/friends as a place to remember, celebrate and share with others their precious child.

We are an official Louisiana 501C3 non-profit.

Glory’s Garden Foundation is hosting the Glory 5K Walk/Run to rally Northeast Louisiana around families fighting through the NICU journey. In 2023 Glory Ann Strickland was born at 24 weeks and spent 308 days in the St. Francis and Childrens Hospital NICU. Her parents, family and friends understand no parent should face that lonely road alone.

This event is more than a race; it’s a public show of love that raises critical support for medical expenses, travel, meals, and at home living expenses for NICU families. Our goal is to reach 1000 registrations so we could help 200 families. When our community shows up together, we don’t just raise funds we raise hope, dignity, and relief in the moments families need it most.

For the past five years, we have hosted year-round events such as entrepreneurship workshops, leadership training, mental health community events, community outreach, health and wellness events. Our mission is to equip teens throughout Northeast Louisiana and surrounding areas to be productive and successful members of society.

On April 25, 2026, our organization will host our 4th Annual Lupus Awareness Kickoff Walk, Ride or Run. We would be honored if you would join us in making this event a success. The event will be held at the Richwood Multi-Purpose Center, 2710 Martin Luther King Drive, Richwood, LA 71202. Registration begins at 7:00a.m. Lupus is a chronic autoimmune disease that impacts millions worldwide, including members of our local community. This event raises vital awareness and funds to support individuals affected by lupus while bringing the community together for a shared cause.

The past three years have been a great success with the support of our community. Families were able to come out enjoy live music, face painting, games, participate in the walk and gain information from local vendors. The positive feedback and enthusiastic participation we received highlighted the importance of this event for our community.
