Race Format (3/6 Hour Race):

The rider who completes the most laps within the time limit (3 or 6 hours) will be declared the winner and will podium.

In the event of a tie, the fastest time to complete the tied number of laps will determine the winner.

If available, a scoreboard will be updated at the timing tent throughout the race.

A large digital clock at the finish line will display the remaining race time.
-
Laps completed after the time limit has expired will not be counted.

After completing a lap, riders may begin another lap, take a break or stop racing.

Completing at least one lap is required to avoid a DNF (Did Not Finish).

Riders may forfeit a lap at any time and return to the trailhead, but must report to the timing tent and inform race officials.

The race will begin in waves.

Wave size and start times will be determined by the Timing Officials.

Riders compete individually, teamwork is not allowed.
Race Format (Time Trial):

Individual Start – Riders start one at a time at set intervals (e.g., 30 sec or 1 min).

Course – Short trail course for XC. Pump track and Dual slalom courses are located near the trailhead.

Timing – Each rider is timed; fastest time wins.

Passing – Slower riders must yield if caught; good trail etiquette is essential.

General XC Rules
- Equipment:
-
All riders must wear a bicycle helmet at all times while on the course. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Bikes must be mountain bikes suitable for off-road trails and equipped with a front and rear brake.

Race numbers must be visible on the handlebar area of the bike at all times.
- Conduct and Etiquette:
-
Racers must race respectfully and announce their intentions when passing another rider on the trail.

Cheating of any kind may result in disqualification at the discretion of the Timing Officials.

Abusive language, unsportsmanlike behavior, or deliberate obstruction of other riders will result in penalties or disqualification.
- Course Rules:
-
Riders must stay on the marked course at all times.
-
Cutting the course or taking shortcuts will result in disqualification.

If a rider encounters mechanical issues, they must move off the main trail to make repairs to avoid obstructing other participants.
- Safety:
-
Racers will be disqualified for racing without a bicycle helmet.

If a rider is seriously injured, the nearest rider must stop to offer assistance and report the incident to race officials. Call 911 if a rider is unconscious or unresponsive.

For riders that have minor injuries, please inform the timing officials and we will send a representative onto the race course to assist.
- Assistance and Support:

Racers may only receive assistance from non-racers in the staging area.

Racers may help other racers out on the course.

Racers are responsible for their own nutrition and hydration while on the course. Water will be available in the staging area.
- Penalties and Disqualification:

Timing Officials have the authority to disqualify racers for cheating, unsportsmanlike conduct, or safety violations.

Racers who intentionally cut the course or take shortcuts will be disqualified.
- Protests:

Any protests regarding race results or conduct must be filed with race officials within 30 minutes of the race ending.

Decisions made by race officials are final.
- Miscellaneous:

Please ensure that your race number is clearly visible on your bike at all times.

Good sportsmanship is expected of all participants. Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated.
Enduro MTB Race Rules
- Race Format:
- The race will be competed in stages with each stage being approximately one minute of “downhill” riding.
- Course Inspection:
- Each rider will have pre-ride time to inspect the course before the race begins.
- Timed Runs:

Each rider may only receive one timed run per stage, unless otherwise approved by timing officials due to exceptional circumstances.

In case of interruption, such as stopping to assist a downed rider or mechanical issue, riders may reattempt a timed run. Riders must notify the Timing Official of the forfeited run to get approval for a reattempt.

Reattempts for mechanical issues will be at the discretion of the race officials
- Assisting Downed Riders:

Riders are encouraged to check on and help downed riders.

If a rider stops to assist, they may have the opportunity to reattempt their timed run for that stage. The interruption must be reported to the Timing Official immediately.
- Safety:

Racers will be disqualified for racing without a bicycle helmet.

Ebike Rules for All Events
- Eligibility:
- Only Class 1 Ebikes with a maximum of 750 watts and a 20 mph speed limiter are permitted unless otherwise agreed upon by vote from all participants.
- Motor Assistance:

Ebikes must be pedal assist only.
-
The motor cannot rely on a throttle to engage; it must assist the rider based on pedaling.
- Battery Rules:
-
The Ebike battery cannot be switched out during the event unless agreed upon by all participants to ensure fairness in battery consumption between different manufacturers and motor types.

Battery extenders are allowed on Ebikes with batteries under 500 watt-hours (wh).
-
Battery extenders and battery changes may be permitted for batteries over 500wh at the discretion of race officials, due to excessive reduction in battery capacity (e.g., old battery). This rule must also be agreed upon by all participants to account for the wide variety in bike manufacturers and battery types.
- Equipment and Safety:

All standard race rules and equipment requirements apply to Ebike riders, including mandatory helmet use and visible race numbers.

Riders must follow all course rules and remain on the designated trail.
- Conduct and Etiquette:

Ebike riders must race respectfully and announce their intentions when passing another rider on the trail.

Cheating or modifications to the Ebike to exceed the power or speed limits will result in disqualification.
- Technical Assistance:

Riders may only receive assistance from non-racers in the staging area.

Ebike riders may help other Ebike riders out on the course as long as it does not violate other rules.
- Protests and Disqualification:

Any violations of the above rules that give undue advantage, such as unauthorized battery changes or throttle use, will result in disqualification.
