RUN/WALK FOR HOPE 5K --- The Run/Walk for HOPE 5k is brought to you by Legacy of Hope Restored.
SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 2026 at 10:00AM at White Hall Park in Richmond, Kentucky
100% of the race proceeds will benefit Legacy of Hope Restored (LHR), a U.S. based nonprofit that works to feed, educate, and mentor the economically poor and marginalized through meaningful partnerships with schools and organizations in the communities they serve. They currently help support two programs that are empowering children and their families in Cartagena, Colombia and Mendoza, Argentina.
In Cartagena, Colombia they started a tutoring program to help children falling behind in school get the help that they need to not only survive,but thrive.
In Mendoza, Argentina they support an educational program that serves at-risk children and families. PEPE's provides educational support, basic needs, and a supportive community for the children and families in their community.

KONA ICE KIDS COLOR RUN:
In addition to our 5K, we're offering a Color Run for those 5-12 years old! This event will be a 1K race. This race will not be professionally timed/tracked. The route will go around the lake where each runner will be splashed with color as music plays and people cheer them on. Walk or Run - goal is for everyone in the family to have a good time!! Plus, every child that participates will get Free Kona after the race.

Join us for the 9th annual SuperHEARo 5K on Saturday, May 16, 2026. The 5K (a timed event) will take place at 9:00am shortly followed by the 1.5 Mile Fun Run (non-timed event) at 9:05am. In addition to an in-person event at White Hall State Historic Site, we will also have a virtual option so you can join us from near or far! Participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite superhero. Packet pick-up will be available at Surge Screenprinting on Friday, May 15th from 11:30am-1:30pm and 4:00-5:15pm or prior to the race on Saturday beginning at 8:00am.
Awards will be given for Top 3 Overall Male & Female Finishers as well as Top 3 Male & Female in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-60, 60-64, and 65+ as well as Best Dressed Male & Female Superheroes. There will also be a prize for the Best Dressed Wonder Pet.

We're ready for 2026! Join us for our 4th Annual Juneteenth Freedom 5K on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 8:00am at White Hall State Historic Site.
As of December 2025, race proceeds and donations are currently planned to be split between 3 local charities --- The Maurice Hibbard Non-Traditional Scholarship, The Friends of Maple Grove Cemetery, and New Liberty Family Shelter. Raising Hope 5K will benefit Orphan Care Alliance (OCA). OCA is a ministry that operates throughout Kentucky and southern Indiana, mobilizing Christians to serve vulnerable children and families within the foster and adoptive community. OCA directly impacts youth with foster care and adoption history through their Life Coaching program. OCA Life Coaches are trained and then matched to mentor a youth in foster care: to be their friend and walk alongside them in life when they might not have anyone else. OCA supports children in foster care by meeting their physical, emotional, and therapeutic needs through the OCA Family Support, Life Coaching, and Family Preservation ministries
