DESCRIPTION

The Chad Lake Foundation presents the 3rd annual Run for Reform 5k/10k on March 21, 2026.

All proceeds will benefit the charity and their efforts on bringing awareness and resources to individuals affected by incarceration.

Both Races start at finish at Kentucky Wesleyan College with the 10K beginning at 8:00 AM and the 5K beginning at 8:05 AM.

You will run/walk through campus and then around the surrounding neighborhoods for a flat and fast course that is a perfect opportunity to test your winter fitness! The 5k is one loop and the 10k is a two loop course.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION

Early registration 12/1/24 - 1/28/25 is $25 for the 5k and $35 for the 10k (must register by 3/1 to be guaranteed a t shirt)

Registration from 3/1 to 3/21 is $30 for the 5k and $40 for the 10k

Parking - Parking is available and encouraged in the lots off of Scherm road and by the baseball field. Do not park on Wesleyan Way...feel free to park in the lots off of College drive but the race goes through that parking lot and leaving will be based on finishing runners times

The remaining 50% will support the Class of 2026 Senior Gift, leaving a lasting legacy on campus that benefits future students and honors our time at Wesleyan.

The 2025 Superhero 5K, Kids Fun Run & Walk, hosted by Owensboro Health Foundation and Owensboro Health Healthpark, is a community event designed to honor Superhero Cancer Survivors and raise funds for the Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center. Proceeds will provide assistance, support, and resources for patients.

How to Participate and Support the Cause
1. Register for an Event: You can participate in one or more of the following events:
5K Race:
- $30 early bird entry fee by Aug. 31
- $40 after Sept. 1
- Registration is completed on THIS site.
Kids Fun Run:
- $10 per child
- The first 200 kids registered receive a medal and t-shirt.
- Registration can be completed at www.OwensboroHealth.org/Superheroes.
Superhero Walk:
- Cancer Survivors can participate in the walk for FREE! A team event honoring our superhero survivors!
- Entry fees are $30 per person.
- There is no limit to the number of members per team. Teams may participate in honor or in memory of loved ones, co-workers, or friends.
- Each lap of the walk has symbolic meaning: The first lap will be in honor of cancer survivors, the second lap will be in honor of caregivers, and the third lap will pay tribute to those we have lost. Survivors will be honored at the walk.
- Registration can be completed at www.OwensboroHealth.org/Superheroes.

· Awards: Prizes will be awarded for each event, as well as for the top fundraising individual and team.

· Participant Benefits: All registered participants will enjoy music, children’s activities, food and beverages and more!

The Kids Fun Run (1/2 mile) is $10 but medals are limited to the first 200 kids. Must be registered by September 8th, 2025 to be guaranteed a Kids Fun Run Participant Shirt. Advanced online registration is required to participate. Kids Fun Run participants will receive a T-shirt, a finisher's medal and have the opportunity to be placed in our prize drawings.

Please join us for the Superhero Walk supporting our cancer survivors!

Superhero Walk Check-In - 8:45-9:45 a.m.

Superhero Ceremony begins at 9:45 a.m. with the walk starting at 10:00 a.m.

Gather a team of participants to support a family member, co-worker, or friend. Dress up as your favorite Superhero! Teams can walk in honor or in memory of a loved one, and cancer survivors will be honored at the event. $30 per team member (cancer survivors participate for free). It is not required, but teams are asked to raise funds to support the cancer center.

Become a fundraiser to help ease the burden of a cancer diagnosis for those in need. You can set up your own personal online fundraising campaign to support Mitchell Memorial Cancer Center by visiting www.OwensboroHealth.org/Superheroes.
