The J Indoor Triathlon features a Super Sprint Distance and Sprint Distance, plus a Youth Super Sprint Distance. The 25 yard indoor pool allows each athlete to compete in their own lane. The quick ride on our Keiser Spin bikes will keep you moving as you transition to the track for a speedy finish!

Looking for a fun way to give back with your family? Join Autism Society - The Heartland for our Annual 5K/1K Fun Run on April 4, 2026. This event gives participants the opportunity to run or walk a 5K or 1K course at Aspiria (former Sprint Campus). Our 5K begins at 8:00 a.m. followed by our 1K at 9:15a.m. All participants (1K and 5K) are eligible to order a t-shirt separately from the race registration fee. Registered 5K in-person participants receive chip timing. All 5K and 1K race finishers will receive a finishers medal.

This race will benefit all those connected to the Autism community in Kansas and Missouri. This is an all weather event that will be run/walked unless the race director, at their sole discretion, determines that the weather conditions are not safe to run in, at which time the race will be cancelled. This free event is to celebrate the health and wellbeing of Shawnee Mission School District staff and their family members.
*This event is closed to the general public.
All SMSD staff members and their immediate families are invited. Children 8 years of age and up are allowed to register for the 5K event. Children under 8 are allowed to participate in the 5K, but must be with an adult at all times while on the race course. Strollers are welcome.
Start and finish line is in the Shawnee Mission South stadium with 5K route on the Indian Creek Trail.
Pre-race activities start at 8:45am. Race starts at 9:00am. Stay after the 5K for family fun, healthy lifestyle vendor booths and prize giveaways.
All SMSD staff members should complete an individual registration so your building participation is counted.

The 15th Annual Outpacing Melanoma 5K is Sunday, May 3, 2026, on National Lemonade Day. Join us as we fight melanoma with zest. Lace up your shoes and let's squeeze out melanoma as we race toward a brighter, melanoma-free future.
Every mile you run and every dollar you raise helps fund vital research and increase awareness for prevention and early detection in our greater Kansas City community. Your participation, whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, provides refreshing hope for those battling this disease.
A scenic 5K run/walk for all ages and fitness levels. Strollers and dogs on a leash are welcome. A special post-race celebration with lemonade stands and activities for kids and families. Themed shirts (size not guaranteed if registering after April 11th) and awards for top finishers. New this year – for the first time in 15 years, we will have a custom Outpacing Melanoma “Finisher Medal”. 5K participants must be wearing their race bib to receive a finisher medal.

Kansas City's first and only 5K to benefit Hospice and Palliative Care!
Our mission is to raise awareness and support for Hospice and Palliative Care, specifically benefiting those at Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care and Midland Care Hospice of Topeka and Lawrence. Since the 2011 inaugural race, Heroes for Hospice has raised and donated a net $248,000 to the two hospice houses!
This family friendly race will take place on a fun route around the Lions Gate Golf Course starting and finishing at REI in Prairiefire. Bring your friends and family out to support an amazing cause. Runners, walkers and stroller/wagon riders are all welcome join!
There will be awards given to the top overall male/female winners and overall male/female masters runners following the race. All registered participants receive a complimentary Heroes for Hospice race shirt.

We are looking forward to our 24th Annual Sunflowers to Roses Bike tour on Sunday, August 2nd. We are a fundraising ride that raises money in the fight against Cancer. We are supporting Cancer Action Kansas City once again this year. We hope you will not only join us to ride but set up a fundraising page as well to make your impact even bigger.
We will start and finish at Erik's Bike Shop at 11500 W. 135th St, Overland Park, KS 66221. We are looking forward to a great ride with a variety of lengths including two gravel optoins through South Johnson County. We will return to Erik's for our well know Post Ride Party that kicks off at 10am. We will once again have Food Trucks and each rider will receive a meal ticket. Additional purchases can be made from the Food Trucks at the event.
Packet Pickup with be at Erik's on Saturday 8/1 from 11 am - 2 pm or on Sunday morning before the ride from 6:30 am - 7:15 am
We will stage in front of Erik's and leave after the National Anthem promptly at 7:30am.

We’re excited to announce that the 4th and final race of our TryRox Series will be hosted in the Fieldhouse at the AdventHealth Sports Park at Bluhawk. Competitors will take on the full-distance challenge right on the facility’s impressive 40,000 sq. ft. indoor turf field; a premier, climate-controlled space designed for high-performance events. This state-of-the-art venue will give athletes plenty of room to push their limits, spectators an incredible viewing experience, and our community the perfect setting to close out the series in epic fashion.

ADMISSION TICKETS: The Overland Park Arboretum has a mandatory admissions ticket fee: $7 for adults, $3 for 6-17 years old, and $0 for children 5 and under. This cost is on top of the race entry fee and is required for anyone attending the event (participants and bystanders). You will need to make sure you choose an admission ticket option when you check out. If you would like to purchase additional tickets for people joining you that aren't running, you can pre-purchase them during registration or at the gate. Save time by pre-purchasing admission tickets in advance so you don't have to wait in line. Admission tickets will be distributed at packet pickup.
MEDALS: All finishers will receive a fun lighted medal (pro tip: use them as tree decorations each year!). Our medals are guaranteed to make you smile!
LONG SLEEVE EVENT SHIRTS: All registrants that sign up before the shirt deadline will get one of our long-sleeve event shirts! These shirts are available to those that register before the shirt deadline (November 17) and are unisex sizing. Did we mention they are super soft and perfect for the holidays?
HOLIDAY COOKIE AID STATIONS: All racecourse aid stations will feature a special treat to get you through the course! You will be greeted with a platter full of cookies and a whole lotta cheer.
POST RACE ENTERTAINMENT: The finish venue is a holiday party! The finish venue creates a wonderful and safe meeting place for post-race photo ops with all your friends and fellow runners! Enjoy holiday festivities, delicious treats, and more.
POST RACE MUSIC & DANCING: Our DJ will be spinning holiday beats all evening long, from classic holiday songs to more upbeat favorites.
AWARDS CEREMONY and RANDOM DOOR PRIZES: There are no official awards ceremonies, but we will have results available and age group winner awards as well. NOTE: We provide prizes for first place in each age group, not top three. Plus, raffle prizes!
