We are back for the 37th Annual Shamrock Shuffle!
We will start and end again at Johnny's Tavern, 401 N. 2nd Street at 9am. The routes will wind thru historic North Lawrence and Pinkney neighborhoods. All money raised from the Shamrock Shuffle will benefit local Lawrence childrens charities which will be selected in the fall.
Your registration includes a commemorative race day shirt, participation award, and an awesome Irish breakfast provided by Johnny’s North. Aid stations will be on the course approximately every 1.5 to 2 miles. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each age group, as well as overall male and female awards, overall Master male and female awards, and Super Masters in male and female.

Join us for the first annual Lawrence Public Schools 2 Mile Walk/Run on April 18, 2026! For this first year, race participation is limited to USD497 employees only. We hope to expand the offerings in future years!
The race will kick off at 9:00am, location to be announced in the coming weeks. This event is non-competitive (no chip times) and is to celebrate the health and well-being of USD497 staff. There will be fun prizes for staff teams, costumes, and more. After the event, stop by healthy lifestyle vendor booths and participate in prize giveaways. The event is free to register. Staff who register by April 1 will receive a free t-shirt - t-shirts will be available on a limited time basis for registrations received after April 1.

The purpose of this non-competitive race is to bring the Sunflower Elementary and Lawrence community together to support health, wellness, and connection. The race start will take place at Sunflower Elementary School in the beautiful Lawrence, KS, and consist of a loop circling the Sunflower and Southwest Middle School property that is partially off-road on grass and partially on paved sidewalk. Participants can run/walk from one to three loops based on preference, and volunteers will be present to help with route directing. The finish line of the race is on the Southwest Middle School track. A Sunflower Fun Run student-designed t-shirt is included in the entry fee, and t-shirts can be picked up at Sunflower the morning of the race from 7:30 to 8:45 am. Payment can also be made in person via check, cash, or Venmo the morning of the race with a t-shirt included while supplies last.
In addition the Sunflower Fun Run, the race day events a Tot Trot (for our Eaglets below 5 years of age), the ever popular "Dad Dash," and raffle baskets. Tickets for Dad Dash and raffle baskets can be purchased online ahead of the event or on race day. See schedule and race route below:

Can you complete a 5K before the Lawrence Community Orchestra string quartet finishes playing Beethoven's Opus 59, No. 3? Find out at this fun event supporting the orchestra and celebrating music and healthiness.
Runners and walkers of all ages will start and finish in the Southwind Regal movie theatre parking lot. The route will cover a segment of the Lawrence Loop. Registration by April 3 includes a commemorative race day shirt.
Packet pickup will be held on Friday, April 24 from 1-6 PM at Fleet Feet, 839 Massachusetts in Lawrence, and on Saturday at the event beginning at 8:45 AM.
Everyone is invited to bring a chair and listen to the music.

Join us on Monday, May 25th at 8:30am for the annual Home Run 5K. One of larger Spring fundraisers with all proceeds directly benefiting local children and their families who are experiencing a housing crisis.
This race is perfect for seasoned racers, walkers, kids and strollers and pets on a leash are welcome too! Make plans to visit our enhanced Kids Zone, complete with a large bounce house from our friends at ATEC Services LLC.
All runners receive a T Shirt and this year the first 100 runners that sign up will receive a swag bag.
Registration is just $30 and teams of 4 or more can save $5 per person. This is an in-person or virtual event, open for any and all participation.
Don’t want to run or walk, we have volunteer opportunities as well. Help us help local families achieve housing stabilization. Together, we’re better!
All participants receive a race T-shirt. Medals will be awarded for the top in-person male and female overall and master’s (40+) finishers, and the top 3 male and female finishers in these age groups: 10 & under, 11-15, 16-20, 21-30, 31-40, 41-50, 51-60, 61-70 and 70+. Virtual participants can submit their race photos to be recognized in a variety of creative categories.
The largest youth team (18 and under) will win free food certificates or gift cards.

Yes, July is hot! And that is why we do an early start, anytime between 6am and 8am, Sunday July 12. Three routes (31, 50 and 66 miles) are on lightly traveled paved roads through the countryside, rolling hills, farmland, pastures and wooded hillsides. The 11th Annual Rexy Run/Walk is back on August 15th, 2026!
We will be offering our 5K and NEW 10K course.
The Rexy Run/Walk begins and ends at Broken Arrow Park, a picturesque city park, in southeast Lawrence and will wind through the Baker Wetlands on a combination of paved concrete trails and fine gravel trails. The Rexy Run is stroller and dog friendly.
The Rexy Run is hosted by BabyJay's Legacy of Hope, a 501C based out of Lawrence that helps families with children who are fighting cancer. We help offset the extra expenses families have that are not covered by health insurance.

The 18th Annual Kansas Half Marathon & 5K will take place on Nov. 1 2026, in Lawrence, Kansas. Our race features some of Lawrence’s iconic landmarks and showcases the natural beauty of Kansas. Both courses are USATF certified.
The Kansas Half Marathon helps offset costs and increase access to affordable health care services for those that are uninsured/underserved.
