    The Spring Migration Triathlon & Gravel Half Marathon will be held in Emporia, Kansas on April 26, 2026.

    Race begins 9:00 a.m. at Emporia State University, Welch Stadium

    Gravel Half Marathon

    • 13.1 miles leaving from the ESU Track & Field Stadium and winding through the scenic Flint Hills.

    Sprint Triathlon

    400 meter swim

    • The 400 meter swim will take place indoors in the ESU lap pool.

    20K bike

    • The 20K bike is a flat out-and-back course that heads north of Emporia on Highway 99.

    5K Run

    • The 5K run takes runners through the rolling hills of Emporia, just west of the ESU campus.

    This is a perfect triathlon for beginners or for triathletes to kick off their season!

    A USAT membership is required to participate in this event. One-day memberships are available to purchase for $14.

    Race Day info:

    • Packet pick-up, check-in, and body marking begins at 7:30 a.m. (inside pool area)

    • Enter through the east side of Welch Stadium

    • Additional parking is available on the west side of Welch Stadium

    • Bike racks will be assigned by age groups, 5 bikes per bar

    • Individual bike rack assignments will not be given

    • Warm up laps in the pool can be done from 8:00-8:45am.

    • Pre-race instructions will begin at 8:50 a.m.

    • The pool will be locked after the swim, so don't leave personal belongings in the pool area.

    • Access to the locker rooms will be available through the outside entrances (women from south side, men from east side).
