The Riley Lions Club is planning our Second Annual; Riley STRIDES for Diabetes Awareness 5k Walk/Run to benefit Lions Club International Foundation Diabetes Projects
The Walk/Run will be held on Saturday April 25th, 2026, at 10AM. Registration/ Race check in will be on Friday, April 24th, from 5 PM to 7 PM and on the morning of the race (April 25th, 2026) starting at 8:30 AM. This event is to help promote awareness of Diabetes in our community and all proceeds will benefit the Lions Club International Foundation. The Run/Walk will be $25 per person (prices may vary with online registration). Each participant who registers by Friday, April 17th, 2026, will receive a T-shirt with the STRIDES logo and the event information on it.
Lions clubs around the world organize STRIDES community events to help promote awareness about diabetes and emphasize the importance of regular, healthy exercise in the prevention and management of this disease.
The Run/Walk will start in front of the Vision Baptist Church in Riley on S. Canal St. and will start going down 1st St. in Riley till it will lead down the new Riley trail. the turning point for the 5K will be at Lama Road.
The Race will end with snacks from sponsors and information from our sponsors on Diabetes awareness. Participants will also have the opportunity to be screened for diabetes before the event!

Steel Dynamics Inc presents a Springtime Gravel race with fabulous views of well-known attractions like Garbage Mountain (the local dump) both out and inbound, ride by many pork and turkey farms, and over Numerous train tracks in this Lil more than a Metric long course. There will also be a medium-length course that cuts off the final loop at the Sag stop.
This will be an all-weather event (barring serious weather) so dress accordingly.
The course is a mix of chunky gravel, dirt roads, a bit of pavement, a few hills, and probably lots of mud.
There will be timing/placing for the top 3 in each class, course marshals, and signs to mark the route. GPS devices ARE advised and course route files are available on RideWithGPS. You will find yourself in the middle of Nowhere, Indiana. Often.
Races will be a mass start at Griffin Bike Park and finish at Griffin Bike Park.
$40 Pre-registration until April 25th. $50 through April 26th $60 Day of Entry. Your entry is a donation to Griffin Bike Park.
Min 1 sag stop will be provided at the 35 mile area. And 2 sag vehicles will be on course at all times.

Be part of Indiana’s ONLY Gravel Triathlon! Offering beginner-friendly distances and terrain, this course mixes the elements of a sprint triathlon, gravel cycling, and trail running! The gravel ride is relatively flat with very gentle hills. The trail run is moderate, with mostly stable surface and a few short ups and downs.
Most of the route is wide enough for easy passing.
For those that don’t want to swim, enter the duathlon or the kayak triathlon!
10K Trail Run
- This fun course is also a bonus point chance for those running the DINO Trail Run Series!
- A Chance for up to 10 Bonus points in the series!
o All finishers in a bonus race will receive at least 1 bonus point.
o A finish in the top 10% of men or women earns 10 points.
o A finish in the 80% to 90% of men or women's rankings earns 9 points.
o The distribution continues so that the bottom 10% of men and women finishers each earn 1 bonus point.

Griffin Bike Park is a purpose-built facility catering to mountain bikers! The facility includes a full spectrum of mountain bike feature. It includes everything from easy XC style riding, pump tracks, jump lines, technical structures, and a dual slalom course.
The DINO Series race course is a 6-mile loop that contains a mix of wider, faster trail with ample passing room, with sections of moderately challenging singletrack. The singletrack sections have numerous quick ups and downs, rewarding handling skills and power.
CAMPING: Directly across from Griffin is Fowler Park. A bike trail even runs from the campgrounds over to Griffin Bike Park! How sweet is that! https://vigoparks.org/fowler-park-2
