On Saturday, May 2nd, 2025, the Shipshewana Mayfest Road Run will be taking place as part of Shipshewana's Annual Mayfest celebration. The event will feature two races designed for runners of all ages and experience levels.
We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with the 1 Mile Fun Run. The race will begin near 345 North Morton Street at the Wolfe Building. The fun run will be run on the newly paved North Street. It will be a straight out and back run for the kids. The kids will finish close to where they started. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls. At 8:30 am, the 5K Shipshewana Road Run begins. The course has slightly changed but will be familiar to any who have run here before! Immediately following the race, prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall, and the winner in each age division. Both races will be electronically timed.
Pre-registration cost is $15 for the 1 Mile Fun Run (13 and under) and $20 for the 5K. Registration will also be available the morning of the race for $20 and $25 respectively. Pre-registration ends Friday, May 1st at 3:00pm. All those who register the morning of the race will receive T-shirts while supplies last. Registration and check-in for both races starts at 7am and will be at the 345 North Morton Street (The Wolfe Building) Please arrive early to register and to receive your shirt and bib number.
Awards for 5k- 1st 2nd 3rd overall for men's and women's. Age groups 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Awards for 1 mile fun run- 1st 2nd 3rd overall boys and girls + JoJo's free pretzel token for all participants!

The Independence Day celebration in Topeka, Indiana is a grand tradition. Each year, the tiny town comes alive with a fireworks display, a parade, basketball and softball tournaments, food vendors, kids games and watermelon eating competition and much more! But before the fireworks blast off or kids race to pick up candy at the parade, the day begins with the Road Run. Begun in 1974 the road run is the oldest consecutively run race in the state. This year's race, the 53rd annual, will take place on Saturday July 4th at the Topeka East Park located at 510 E Lake Street.
The road run has two events for kids and adults. We will kick things off at 8:15 a.m. with a One-Mile Fun Run for kids 13 and under. It’s a great opportunity for kids to try something new and get active. Medals will be awarded to the top three boys and girls. At 8:30, the 5K race, open to all ages, will begin at the park and wind its way through the streets of Topeka. Prizes will be awarded to the top three men and women overall as well as to the top finisher in each of age divisions. Race Day registration is also available. T-shirts are first come first serve.

Come join us to "Walk for Rare, Run for Hope!" on the gorgeous Pumpkinvine Trail in Shipshewana. This is a benefit run/walk where all proceeds are going to further patients' care.
This will be an out-and-back run at our new clinic, located just next to the trail and the Cove youth center. We will have free snacks, a water station, and bake sale items available by donation. A clock will be available if you would like to track your own time, and medals will be awarded to the top 3 males and 3 females.
We will be offering a big wheel race for kids ages 3-7. (big wheels will be provided)

You will want to park in the upfront parking lot of the clinic or across the street by the dog park if the parking lot is full.

About The Community Health Clinic
The Community Health Clinic is a 501(c)(3) non-profit healthcare facility located in Shipshewana, Indiana, that provides specialized genetics care consistent with Amish and Mennonite (Plain) values. The CHC provides clinical genetic services to all individuals, regardless of religion, race or age.
Services include, but are not limited to, clinical genetics, genetic counseling, newborn screening follow-up, diet management, and individualized care coordination.
