Color
As a fun part of this event, participants can experience being splashed with color. If you do not want to be "splashed," then you can avoid (most of) it by staying to one side of the course. Our events are similar to The Color Run^TM experience, but not yet quite as big (in time!). We always plan on having color fun as part of the Run and Walk! The amount and degree to which we can have fun with color as part of the 5K Run/Walk depends on sponsors, volunteers, and participants. The color dust is non-toxic, biodegradable, and not harmful to wildlife or vegetation. In our quest for fun, this event will still strive to maintain a low environmental impact. After the event, leaf blowers will be used to help disperse any excess color dust off of walkways to help prevent it from being tracked into buildings/around the park. A nice rain will wash everything away.
