    Join us for our third annual Ducky Dash 5K! This fun-filled, rubber ducky-themed event features a 4-loop course around the scenic Herrick Lake and supports the neurofibromatosis (NF) community. We would love for you to participate! Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, every bit of support matters.

    Dress up in your best ducky costume for a chance to win the best costume award—let’s get creative!

    Did you know that neurofibromatosis affects one in every 2,500 births? It’s one of the most common rare genetic disorders, yet many people are still unaware of it. The NF Network is dedicated to helping families and raising awareness about this condition. Your support is crucial in ensuring this important work continues.

    What exactly is Forest Bathing? The term emerged in Japan as a physiological and psychological exercise called shinrin-yoku which means "forest bathing" or "taking in the forest atmosphere". The purpose is twofold: to offer an eco-antidote to tech-boom burnout and to inspire the community to reconnect with and protect local forest preserves. We are fortunate to have so many forest preserves in the Chicagoland area. Let's take part in the first Forest Bathing event organized by HFWC along with our annual 5K.

    It’s the most wonderful run of the year! The 15th annual Lions Charities Reindeer Run 5K is bringing festive fun to town. Grab your Santa hats, dust off those antlers and jingle bells, and get ready to Run, Run, Rudolph! Bring your friends, family, and holiday cheer for a morning full of holly jolly joy. Presented in partnership by Wheaton Park District and Lions Club Charities, we welcome participants to walk, jog, or run – just don’t miss the fun!

    This is a chip-timed race. Overall winners and individual age category winners are determined by chip time. The top overall winners will be announced immediately following the race. All other age category winners will be contact by email after the race.

    All participants will receive giveaway items and post-race refreshments.

    • Saturday, December 5 | 8:30A | Downtown Wheaton

    • Virtual Race | Run on your own time and submit race results between December 5-14

    PRICING DETAILS

    • Early Bird Registration is $35.00 through November 4

    • Registration is $40.00 from November 5 through December 4

    • Registration is $45.00 on Race Day, December 5

    Race registration is nonrefundable.
