May is Foster Care Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating by bringing our community together for a powerful cause. Join Share My Smile on May 16th at Tom Hanafan’s River’s Edge Park for our Foster Care Fun Run 5K — a family-friendly event dedicated to supporting foster children and the incredible families who open their hearts and homes to them.

Every mile run, every step walked, and every dollar raised helps bring hope, stability, and support to children in foster care.

Whether you’re a runner, a walker, or just someone who wants to support an amazing cause, we invite you to come out and be part of something meaningful.

Bring your friends! Bring your family! Bring your running shoes! Every mile brings a smile!

Event Details

Date: May 16, 2026

Location: Tom Hanafan’s River’s Edge Park

Event: Foster Care Fun Run - a 5K for the runners, a 1K for families or those who like to stop and smell the roses.

Tshirts and water will be provided, and medals will be awarded to winners in many categories.

Run or walk — all ages welcome! Even your fur babies on the 1K!

Join us on Sunday, July 5, 2026 at 9:00am for an exciting annual event that features the scenic views of Ditmars Orchard! Ditmars Orchard has expanded to include their vineyard, wine, pumpkin patch and a focus on specialty food items that you can’t find anywhere else. So come join us for a family friendly event. With extra swag options for all wine lovers, walkers and runners, this race is a sure thing for a great time! The 5k event for this race will be timed and scored by J3 Timing. Results will be posted at www.J3Timing.com.
