Sorry about the delay, but sign-up is now open. Don't wait until the the last minute!
Fee structure
The entry fee for this run is intended to cover the cost of award metal, t-shirt, site rental, and food. There was a bit of an increase in the entry fee this year to cover cost. We do our best to keep the budget reasonable with store brand snacks. Note that the non-profit structure is a requirement for a group trail event such as this (and I have previously shown reciepts to the USFS) , so the fees are the bare cost of putting on the race. All labor and the HAE equipment use is donated to the race.
The Dragon's Spine
Yeah, you know the deal. If you know what this means, then sign up. If you don't then you probably should not.
H9 Dragon
Some new naming has been added this year to allow for multiple events under the H9 trail club. If there is interest we may consider an additional fat-ass style event - or maybe not. The traditional H9 event has been renamed to H9 Dragon to make things confusing (because the course has gotten far too easy). It is still the same stroll along the Duncan Ridge, but now you have to jump through more administrative and marketing hurdles before you arrive at Vogel. For those of us working for the government, we are always ready to help - or maybe not.
Participation
You must be a H9 trail club member to participate. This is a non-profit club event and we abide by FS rules for use of the Duncan Ridge area. So that means you have to sign-up as a member to run (at this page). Sorry about the two step process but the complexities of webforms and databases mean that membership needs to be separate from event participation in order to manage results by event and allow multiple events within the club. The costs for sign-up for the marathon or 50M are basically a pass through of costs to you. Logistical support (food, drinks, equipment rental, site rentals), t-shirt, and finisher medal are included in the day-use fee (also known as a participation fee). The finisher medals are fab'ed in local machine shop and because they are stainless steel and laser cut they are kind of pricey. However, the medals are really cool and worth every penny.

Description
The Duncan Ridge Trail 50K/30K is one of the toughest 50Ks in the Southeast with more than 10,000 feet of elevation gain. The actual elevation profile is displayed in the logo, but that is just the “out” of an “out and back” race. This race uses the Coosa Backcountry Trail and the Duncan Ridge Trail, which is considered one of the toughest trails in Georgia. The race will start and finish at Vogel State Park’s Lake Trahlyta in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains. There will be a 30K option as well. All proceeds go back to the park volunteers every year.

Have you been dreaming of running the Boston Marathon? Need to shave a few minutes off your qualifying time? Or maybe you're just looking for the perfect course to set a new PR? Whether Boston is your goal or not, the Bound for Boston Marathon & Half Marathon is for you.
We are racing in Johns Creek on Johns Creek Pkwy and the course features a 1-mile, super flat and super fast loop, making it ideal for consistent pacing and record-setting performances. The Full Marathon is USATF certified, making it a Boston Qualifier.
This event is uniquely designed for serious runners. We will have water and an electrolyte drink at the aid table. Participants are welcome to bring their own personalized aid to place on the aid tables, allowing you to grab exactly what you need each time you pass. Many runners even bring a cheer crew to help hand out fuel and keep the motivation high throughout the race.
To maintain the best possible experience, this is intentionally a small, focused event, capped at just 175 participants.
We will have a great race shirt and finisher medals for all participants. Awards for both distances are in the usual 5-year age groups.
Fast course, flexible support, and a chance to chase your goals—this is the race that lets you run your perfect day.

WHAT IS LIGHT UP THE CORNERS?
A glowing, flashing, blinking, shining, night time running party and fundraiser in one! This event is sure to Light Up The (Peachtree) Corners AND Light Up A Life! Proceeds from the event go to benefit at-risk children and families in our community who are struggling by giving them the chance to participate in life-enhancing programs and activities at the Fowler YMCA.
IT'S ALL ABOUT THE FUN!
The two events, the 4 Mile Run and 1k (6/10th of a mile) Twilight Trot, will each be a one-of-a-kind night time experience that is less about how fast you run or walk and more about much fun you have! The course will be lined with blinking lights to illuminate the way and participants will be given glow bling to light up the course as you run/walk. There will be contests for the "glowiest" men, women, boys, girls, and teams. So, strap on as much glow bling as you can find and come light up the course with your friends and family! Whether you are a fast runner, a weekend jogger, or a casual walker you are invited to be a part of this exciting LIGHT UP THE CORNERS event. Strollers welcome, but for safety purposes, must start at the back of the pack.
PACE GROUPS: Pace groups will be set up at the starting line. Participants will be encouraged to start in the pace group that most closely matches expected average pace for the 4-mile run.

Here is how the relay divisions work on our 2-mile looped course:Team Size: Teams can consist of 2 to 6 members. The "Baton": Each team will be issued a single team bib attached to a race belt (or a team timing chip). This belt acts as your baton and must be worn by the active runner at all times. The Exchange Zone: All runner swaps MUST take place within the designated Start/Finish staging area. You cannot pass the belt out on the course. One at a Time: Only one team member is allowed on the course at any given time.Your Strategy, Your Rules: There is no minimum or maximum distance required per runner, and no set rotation order! A team member can run one 2-mile lap and swap, or run for 4 hours straight. You can even let half your team sleep during the night while the other half rotates. It is entirely up to your team's strategy.Scoring: Your team's final score is the total number of fully completed 2-mile loops within the time limit. Partial
laps do not count! Event's current local time: 4:59 AM ET
