(**Please note: if we do not have more than 5 people sign up for a category by October 10th, we will combine it with another category and give you the opportunity to switch categories)

5 Points 50 is Chattanooga's oldest mountain bike race that traverses Lula lake Land Trust and Cloudland Canyon State Park trail systems across Lookout Mountain. Whether you're in it to win it or want to ride the party pace with your friends, this race has a little something for everyone! With a 50-mile and 25-mile option, Racers will enjoy a grueling course packed with single track, climbs, downhills, rock gardens, and smooth flowy trails. Starting at Lula Lake Land Trust’s Core Preserve, riders will quickly begin making their way to the 5 Points Trail system and Durham Mine Trails, then back to LLLT via the Cloudland Connector Trail and Moonshine Trails. This race is sure to bring incredible views, amazing trails, and a heck of a good time!

Spectators are welcome on Saturday at no cost. Food and drinks will be available for purchase. If spectators want to camp they can purchase just a camping ticket.

    Note: Camping is family-friendly.

    Newest Categories:

Party Pace - This category is for those who want to enjoy the iconic trails and party but without racing. Party Pace riders will NOT receive a race bib or be timed. This is strictly for those wanting to enjoy the course at a leisurely pace. If you want to ride at a leisurely pace but still have your time accounted for, you should sign up for your age category! Party Pace riders still have to finish by the 4:30 cut off time.

Partner Teams - Teams must ride together from start to finish. Each partner must purchase their own ticket to get their own bib number. Riders finish time is taken when the second rider crosses the finish line.

Drop Bar - Drop bar bikes only

E-Bike Open - Class 1 Electric pedal assist only. No throttle bikes are permitted.

A Kids' Fun Ride (not a race) will be taking place (add-on registration required). Other activities throughout the day include a pop-up obstacle course, track stand competition, mini-bike time trial, Huck-a-Huffy competition, bunny hop competition, and more! Free of charge!

Lula Lake Land Trust has officially taken over the 5 Points 50 race as a fundraiser for the organization. Roost Racing approached LLLT in 2023 about transfering the race and LLLT accepted as an attempt to keep this iconic race alive, as well as raise critical funds for our trail building and maintenance efforts!

All proceeds from the 5 Points 50/25 support Lula Lake Land Trust’s trail building and maintenance. Lula Lake has built over 60-miles of trail on our properties across Lookout Mountain, including the Moonshine trails, Cloudland Connector Trail, and the Durham Mine Trails. Your participation in this race (and all of Lula Lake’s races) goes directly back into our trail maintenance and construction efforts!

    What’s Included?

Every Racer gets a custom 5 Points 50 t-shirt if registered before 10/10/26 and post-race beer/soda and food.

Add-ons are available for camping, which includes a Friday night group ride.

The 50-mile course starts with a 5-mile ride down Hwy 157 (Lula Lake Rd.) to the Durham Mine Trails. At Durham, racers will enjoy both single and double track trails before crossing over into 5 Points and then riding to the Ascalon trailhead. From there, riders will head back towards HWY 157 and cross over the highway to continue on the 7-mile High Point section (CCT) until you hit the Nickajack Parking Lot. Racers will then go down Nickajack road for .25miles to the F4 Trail. From here, you will ride through LLLT’s Core Preserve trails and Moonshine Trails to the finish.

GPX file for the course 50 MILE COURSE. PLEASE BE AWARE that the mileage is not exactly accurate and the elevation could be more. This is JUST FOR REFERENCE. All racers are to follow course tape instead of the GPX file. Course markings rule the roost! The Land Trust section of the course is private and NOT to be ridden unless it is an open gate day.

25 Mile Course (2,300+ ft. elevation gain)

The 25-mile course will begin with about 5 miles of riding down Hwy 157 (Lula Lake Rd.) to the Connector Trail road crossing, at which point you’ll turn left onto the connector trail. Riders will weave their way through LLLT’s (mostly single track) Core Preserve and Moonshine trail systems to the finish. The 25 mile course is the same as last year where it takes a left off the road onto Longbranch Connector. The 25 mile course is the second half of the 50 mile course. For the GPX file, please refer to the GPX link for the 50-mile race - the back half will be the 25-mile course. Again, follow course tape!
