The Iron Horse 5K is an out-and-back race on the beautiful Man O’ War Railroad Recreation Trail in Pine Mountain, GA, starting at Highway 354 and heading south towards Callaway Gardens. Run or walk this race, experience the beauty of Harris County’s newest recreation trail, and support the Pine Mountain Volunteer Fire Department at the same time.

Parking:

There is plenty of parking available in the large lot in front of Iron Horse Grill.

Award Categories: 1st Overall Male and Female: $150 cash prize.

Other Important Information:

Runners will receive an Iron Horse commemorative beanie.

Don’t feel like running or walking a 5K in person? Consider buying a phantom race entry and enjoy an awesome beanie while still supporting the Pine Mountain Volunteer Fire Department!

ALL proceeds go directly to the Pine Mountain Volunteer Fire Department on the day of the race.

You may remember a little race from years long gone called the Red Fox Run. This race took place at F.D. Roosevelt State Park and it was a hit! Well, we are bringing it back. It is as if a little fox finally poked its head out of the fox hole and said to itself, “it is time to run again”. “No more lazing around in the den”.

I-85 TO I-185 (exit 21) then take exit 42 (HWY 27) to Pine Mountain. Turn left on HWY 354 (3rd light in Pine Mountain) to GA 190. Turn right on 190. Park office is a 2 story rock building on left after the curve. We will make sure there are signs directing you to parking and the race start.

Why: Because we want to have a little race in the park. And because the kids loved it back in the day.

Awards: Top 3 overall.

Cost: $35 which includes a race shirt or $20 if you choose not to take a shirt.

Make sure to register by March 15, 2026.

Timing: This is a chip timed event.

Post Race: We will have pizza from Foxes Pizza Den (Of course 🦊) Make sure to grab a slice after the race.

Kia Georgia and Anthem BCBS are proud to host the 2026 Spring into Wellness 5K at the beautiful Robin Lake Beach at Callaway Resort & Gardens on Saturday, April 11, 2026. The event will kick off at 8:30 AM (Gates open at 6:30 AM) and will feature a timed and certified 5K, a Leisure 1-Mile Walk/Run, and a Tot Trot for children five and under. The awards ceremony will recognize 5K participants following the race.

This event is designed to encourage Kia Georgia team members and their families to prioritize wellness, movement, and connection. Thanks to support from Anthem, registration is FREE for Kia Georgia team members and their immediate family members (spouse and dependent children). Contractors/variable workforce, the public, and non-immediate family members may register for $35. All registered participants and their pre-registered guests will receive all-day admission to Callaway Gardens for the event day. Lunch and live DJ entertainment will be provided.

Please note:

• Registration will close either on March 20, 2026 or when capacity is reached (800), whichever occurs first.

• There will be NO on-site/event day registration.

• All children must be always supervised by an adult.

• T-Shirts will operate on a first come first serve basis on race day

• Park opens at 6:30 AM EDT. Kia TM admission will end at 8:30 AM EDT.

• Park entrance is free for ages 3 and under

We encourage everyone to arrive early to allow time for entry into the resort property, parking, and check-in.
