Get ready to run wild with Flint the River Otter!

The Born to Be Wild 5K/10K/Fun Run is coming to McGuffey Nature Center at the Coweta County Fairgrounds on January 31, 2026. Lace up and join Sole Roots Racing, Coweta County, and the Southern Conservation Trust for a race that’s more than just miles—it’s making a difference. Every step you take helps us reach our fundraising goal to support conservation advocacy efforts, conserving land and protecting wildlife in our community. Join us for this family-friendly event! Dress up as your favorite SCT mascot, and each registered child can choose either a “Flint” the otter plushie or an event T-shirt.

Whether you’re chasing a new PR or enjoying the Fun Run with family, you’ll be part of a wild day that supports nature—and you might even catch our playful mascot, Flint, cheering you on at the finish line!

The 5K and 10K course are hybrid 75% road and 25% trail pathway. The trail is suitable for all abilities but strollers will need to be running strollers if used. The 10K route is two laps of the 5K course.
